He was amped up.

This game is nothing like last year... last year he was perfectly fine in how much rest he had... you can't even compare the two situations... that's how different they are.

Some claim he was throwing too hard in last year's postseason. He also threw the most innings in MLB last year (as he did this year). All those pitches take a toll, especially when you're facing superior offensive teams (Yankees, Red Sox, Phillies) in the postseason. Is there a psychological element as well? Perhaps. But to me, last Sunday's game erased any doubts about CC's capability to be a "big game pitcher". Today's game is simply a case of going to the well once too often.

CC has thrown 19 pitches to Brett Myers tonight.

Tough to say, as there aren't many guys around who are durable enough to even BE overused as Sabathia was. To a large degree, given Milwaukee's circumstances, it's tough to fault them too much. But remember the people on this board who thought it was perfectly fine for Yost to throw out Sabathia for the 9th inning with a 7-run lead and throw an additional 20 pitches? I wonder if they still feel this way.

Probably, but who comes in, especially with the bullpen having thrown 4 innings yesterday? The Brewers' alternatives (and outlook) are grim.

As a neutral fan, they're entertaining to watch. Phillies/Cubs or Phillies/Dodgers would be fun.
