after doing some more testing, i am starting to believe that it is. i played 2 games with 100 pass coverage, then 2 games at 0 pass coverage. my comp% went down by 9 percentage points when i had a 0 pass coverage. my first real test will be when i play an away game. i am keeping this at 0 pass coverage for now. i actually like the fact that 0 is the hardest since this does give me some lee way in adjusting the difficulty in passing. if i think it is too difficult then i can just raise the slider. thank you for bringing this to my attention.

ive seen enough. i had the threshold at 100 and i am convinced that the only way this game is even playable is with house rules, such as only picking coach pick or something. this is obviously due to this damn db glitch that ea still hasnt fixed. this is really sad because other then this, the game is the best ncaa game ever made. if i use the coach pick house rule then i will probably go back down to 40 threshold since obviously the threshold doesnt fully fix the problem anyway.

ANNNNNND FINALLY jhmills is frustrated like the rest of us Yeah, I've just gone to simming and recruiting. Hopefully this next patch is followed by a tuner that can make the game a bit more playable.

yea you can still at least do a sim dynasty or in coach mode you could just use coach pick to compensate for the glitch. i already knew that this glitch couldnt be fixed in regular mode, i was just holding on and hoping that it could be fixed in coach mode. with my last test i proved that it can only be fixed if you use the coach pick house rule. cpu vs cpu would still be a good mode to look into as well.

I think coach mode would be playable if someone tested enough and just said don't use verticals/hail mary.

and i am testing it. currently i am just picking from the first 3 plays that coach pick will give me. i see it as my coordinators giving me options to pick from. i dont want to totally eliminate the possibility of throwing verticals because when you are behind and need points quick then thats really the only way you can get back in the game, also there are many plays that have someone going vertical and all it takes is one guy to beat the db for the glitch to be exploited. if you just pick coach pick then you would still have the chance that it would be called if needed.

I just think playcalling is dumb by the CPUand since there is that glitch we need to be smarter. We are the human in this test. It's simple house rule to say no 4 verticals. If the glitch happens with 1 vertical or 2 in a pass, then it's more fair because the defense should have 2 safeties deep. But when you run 4, the cpu will put 2 safeties deep still which means 2 guys will beat the glitch pretty much 100% of the time unless your QB can't get 'em the ball or they can't catch.

This is just what I've seen. I started off playing with Jarrod's sliders and they were good but even when you were down the rule was dont throw 4 verticals. Yes, it sucked. Just have to make sure you don't get down and need to do that.

BC it's much worse to be down 4, run 4 verticals and win on a hail mary touchdown that you knew had a really good chance of working. Yeah you won but you really didn't. Just how I look at it anyways. Did it once and I felt empty like I totally used a cheat code.
