This is Xanathol's Editor, all thanks goes to him.
I'm just a tinker-rounder.
He provided the .xml files for this Editor which make it easy to manipulate the fields to your liking.

You can use the Madden editor to Mass Edit most NCAA ratings, just some don't show because some things are different.
But you can edit what's there inside that editor, or you can export to Excel and get all the fields, then import back in.

Correct, the PYEA Tag just has to be labeled and included also in the "Field" Tag also.

I got called into work right after school, so I'll upload my update as soon as I get off in a little while.

Re: Generic EA Roster Editor

The above issue I am having is that I am not getting the editor to spit out the roster as a .DB file as the directions indicate..

Anyone have some advice as to what I am doing wrong?

I'm more interested in knowing about the export into an excel file. Can you mass edit from excel? If so then game over!!!!

I agree I am very interested in this as well. Excel would react much quicker. However, you still need to know how to save it in a format that gets it back into Horizon ultimately to get it back into NCAA format...

Please help with my question regarding how to save back into the correct format I am getting an error message when trying to get file back into Horizon. I will try the madden editor to get file into excel..

Also this updated file you posted has an error regarding facemask

I have also been able to edit a Origin file (not sure if thats what we should call them) basically the .xml file that creates the headers inside the editor. I know someone mentioned they were doing this so I just did it for Press (which is Years in the ncaa 2012) and I was also able to move it over next to Man Coverage so it is easier to edit a player. If someone is making one it would be nice to have all those like attributes near each other (defense all together, Oline all together.. etc.. )

do all edits in the editor translate to NCAA or are some of them un-editable through the editor... Don't want to make a ton of edits and then once I finally get the file back in have wasted work
It sounds as if you are trying to use the mc02 file as the roster file. The MC02 file is nothing more than extracted data. Upon completion of your edits you have to save the MC02 file, then in horizon, use the replace feature on the original roster file, which you originally extracted the data from.

To replace:

Have the original roster file open in horizon, select contents, right click the file, select replace, select the MC02 file. The MC02 data replaces the data in the original roster file.
