All I'm saying is that since we're in the world of videogames...whatever background this guy has (I never played the hockey game)...this guy releases a good product from what I understand.

The basketball heads up there who live, eat, breathe hoops couldn't do that. Not saying Wang, et al with another year couldn't get it done but something's gotta give.

You're right...we could do this from now until release. But we're gonna make that choice to drop that $60+ come October.

I don't know much about the science behind the scenes of making videogames. But I know some dudes within the field have rep. Good rep and bad rep.

I think most people are focusing on the hockey background as if he's gonna have LeBron out there on ice skates.

If he does...I'm out...early.

But I just don't get that from what I've read...that would be a reach for me.

Dude...I've been burned by this company waaaaaaay too many times. But I'm making better decisions this time around. If it's garbage...then this franchise is toast. But I won't be able to tell that until we get some good visuals or feedback from some honest gamers.

Yeah I too don't like 2K's controls but for me it's the part where my movement is tied into the dribble moves so that I can't do one without the other. Sounds like they got that part figured out. Now let's hope they get the fundamentals right too.

The right stick is tied into dribbling the ball and shooting like a shot stick

Sounds about the same minus modifier buttons

Except for the addition of the shot stick, the controls remind of the freestyle dribbling from live 2003 and the in-air adjustments from 2005 just on the R-stick

What I was saying is I don't like in 2K that to do a crossover I must use the left stick affecting the path I travel. At least with this "new direction" dribble moves remained on the right stick, so basically if I wanted to stand still and do figure 8's I could. If in the new direction they had went to left stick dribble moves I'd be out now buying 2K 10 practicing for next year.

I have a feeling this will be a fun videogame moreso than anything but we will see

I don't know about that quick of a trigger but I'd bet if they aren't at least in the game in 3 years there will be no more EA 5-on-5 basketball, you think?
