There's definitely going to be a lot of turnover with the 3,4,5 spots. Two starts for Correia is too early to draw a verdict, 2 runs in 5 innings.

It's moreso the bullpen and lack of offense that did them in.

Positives: Gonzo's bomb, Hairston's 2-3, and Luis Rodriguez.

Negatives: Brian Giles continues to impress with that .451 OPS , Headley and Kouz combine for an 0-8 with 2 strikeouts, you don't win too many games with performances like that in the heart of your lineup, bullpen giving up 5 runs, too many walks allowed, inefficient pitch total by Kevin Correia through five.
How can the Mickey Mouse little league play not be a negative?

Gonzo is getting better and better every year. Guy is ridiculously good.

Haha, I didn't watch the game because I took a nap after studying the whole day for a 7:00 PM midterm and preparing for a quiz and presentation for my class today soon after. I agree, it should be a negative.

I didn't watch it because it was blacked out, but saw the play on MLB Network. It had Bad News Bears written all over it.

How bout Black's awesome managing in the 7th? Gregerson starts the inning with 10 straight balls, and then BB acts surprised when he tries to have a second coaching visit to the mound in the same inning. For a former pitcher, you would think he would know that there can only be one coaching visit per inning without having to change pitchers.

Ahh...the Padres we know and love. That play with Reyes scoring from second would have made me pull some folks out of the game. Pure laziness...Mujica sitting on his fat butt as Reyes rounds third.

Pretty humorous 7th inning last night, but it's only one game. Anyone else hate breaks in the middle of a series?

I do, they did the same when PETCO Park opened just in-case the lights failed or whatever reasoning they had.

Thanks sportsforever, our 0-9 record surely reflects the Padres that everyone knows and loves.
