Ok so if Batting skill is how often you hit the ball solid and get a base hit i used that for batting average.. And im gona say power is how often one of those solid hits are a homerun..

I took every teams overall batting average from last season and divided it by 30 which is 30 teams.. It comes out to ruffly a overall 268 Batting average.. So im gona set batting skill to 27

Next i added the total hits together of all the teams combined last year and it came to 44,977 hits.. Then i added total homeruns of all teams together which came to 4957 homeruns..
So i divided the total homeruns into the total hits and it comes out to an average of 9.7 so about 1 out of every 10 hits were a homerun last year... SO im going to set the power slider to 10

Im leaving contact at 22 since im getting a pretty realistic number of strikeouts with it set that way... Anyways ill play some games tonight with these settings and report back with results

Batting skill set to 27
Power at 10
Contact at 22
As a fellow math geek, I find this pretty awesome. I'll be very interested to see how it works. If the sliders are working properly, this should be rather accurate. Are you going to set this for human and AI?

Yes gona set it for both teams.. I will play 3 games and report back... My girl is off today so will probaly be tonight before i can get all 3 games in lol.... Also guys have you noticed how your human infielders sometimes they freeze when the ball is hit?? they get a really late jump on the ball it seems sometimes.. I changed my human infield speed to 15 and my human infield reaction speed to 43 and its looking a lot better.. Feel free to give a try if your seeing the same problem i am

I notice this occasionally. I really noticed it in the OF when I had reaction speed at 10. I think it's all in the reaction setting. The best formula is probably higher reaction than speed.

Re: Die hard sliders!!

Alright game 5 was a real nailbiter. Had to play this game over cause of the freeze with cole hamels i was up 2-0. Goin into the seventh i give up a walk and a back to back base hits so they score a run 2-1. next up holliday takes me deep 3 run hr makes it 4-2. I stranded the bases loaded in the eighth. and in the ningth utley lead of double then howard singled him in 4-3 burrel struck out then jenkins grounded out moving howard to second, feliz singled but since howards too slow couldnt score from second, its all up to carlos ruiz i should have pinch hit for him but he lines out to short . base hits now for me are very rewarding and striking out the Ai is so much harder. Such an intense game. Only 1 hr in the game. i have ai batting skill 60,contact 50,power10. So far so good.

Re: Die hard sliders!!

I think i just figured something out guys..Turn inside edge off for the computer AI;s batting and as well as for yourself... For the Ai theres an option you just turn it to off but for yourself its under your hitting sliders... Slide that puppy all the way to zero..

Inside edge was something they added to make your hitters hit more like there real selves which is why the 345 batters are hitting so many homeruns and deep flyouts.. Only played one game like this so far but will test some more ... Ba back in few hours

Re: Die hard sliders!!

that makes sense actually... why do u need insider edge on?? if the batter is better his stats are better so what would be the point of having this on because if he is a homerun hitter he will hit hrs cause of his power and contact stats!! but i would love to see how it actually is gonna work out, cant wait to hear the results

Re: Die hard sliders!!

I'm really enjoying these sliders after 3 intense, close games. Well done.
