Week 6 2014 (Season 2) ND Recap

Irish Win at Home

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - For the first time this season, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish won at home and brought their record to 5-1. Their previous four wins all came on the road and they lost their only other home game to Michigan. Today, the Irish beat rival Pitt 27-16.

The Irish won with a strong running attack and with three interceptions off Pitt's true Freshman QB Curtis. Notre Dame Head Coach John Bax had this to say, "Another hard fought victory over a talented team. It was close from the beginning, but they struggled to stop our runners and we found ways to confuse and pick off their freshman quarterback".

This was a huge recruiting weekend for the Irish, hosting over 20 recruits. We will see if they are able to get any verbal commitments.

Up next for the Fighting Irish, LSU (3-2). The Tigers are coming of a 24-14 victory over Florida today in Gainesville. We will see how the aggressive Tigers do against the Irish who are playing very well as of late.

The idea is sooo good! May have to steal it if that's okay with you, of course. (I'd give you credit in my dynasty. Keep up the great work!!
