Re: The Dark Knight Discussion **CONTAINS SPOILERS**

By the way, I never did get back to commenting about re-seeing it in IMAX.

It turns out that I noticed the "edge-enhancement" for the 35mm shots on the IMAX screen too, which leads me to believe that it was something they did so it didn't look so blurry on the screen. It all makes sense now, and I no longer blame Warner for "messing up the Blu-ray."

I do however still claim EE, and hope that a BD re-release makes it so the non-IMAX shots are of the same source they used for regular movie theaters. That way it's a clean picture, untouched from the beginning.

i just watched the movie for the 1000000000000000 time and it finally has pissed me off on how the background and locations and the city are completely different from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, it bother me at first but more i watch it it pisses me off but it still my favorite movie

I just read The Long Halloween to, everyone should read this book as it is what The Dark Knight is made after

Re: The Dark Knight Discussion **CONTAINS SPOILERS**

The thing about the background is it's a completely different part of Gotham City. You even see in Batman Begins in that one shot that shows all of Gotham (isn't it when Wayne is flying home?) that it is indeed the same city, which is Chicago... but the part that we're focused on in BB is in the Narrows and at Wayne Manor. We don't really get too many shots of deep in the city. However, I will give you that there are some differences, such as no monorail and Wayne Tower being in a different building.

At the same time, I didn't like the CG looks of the Narrows and such, as well as the dark, foggy look on the ground. I just prefer how it is in TDK, especially since we get shots of a normal city like Hong Kong. It would be a weird transition going from that one look to another.

And funny, I was actually going to bump this thread and say that this movie is on HBO now (I don't mean this second, but it's now aired on the package). According to Comcast's schedule, it will at least be on there until the end of the month.

My wife actually thought it was on a constant loop because I kept watching it on HBO and HBO West.
