So I was doing some testing based on what Matt said...

It appears that we will have to do all edits after the Data Pack and before we start our ML.

It appears you can't making any edits and have them take effect on your ML if it has already started. But all Playing Styles & Fluid formations will be carried into a ML if done before starting your ML.

So looks like I will be spending a lot of time editing before I start -___-

I'm testing these settings on two teams, Arsenal (me) vs Man City (AI) Top Player, manual passing, normal shooting, 10 minute halves.

Defence: few
Attack: medium
Compactness: 1
Defensive line: 10

All players on both teams have had ability edits:
Kicking power dropped by 20 points for all players.
Finishing dropped by 20 points for all players.
"Track back" ability given to most of the attack and midfield except the CF's
"Destroyer" role given to all DM's and CB's (have no idea if "Destroyer will affect the CB's yet)
"Malicia" ability given to most players to encourage more fails

Notes:

3 yellow cards to the AI!
First 15 minutes were fast and chaotic then it slowed to a crawl and became a possession battle.
My tackles were DREADFUL in the first half! Gotta get better at that.
Man City were disappointing in attack in the first half. Only 2 shots.
The few chances each that came and went looked organic enough.
Lowering finishing by 20 for everyone made shots less accurate, which I prefer.
But Kicking power was the key, by lowering it by 20, shots were softer and less "bullet" like.
In the 2nd half Man City started to press a lot, so I started to press back and it became a midfield battle in the middle for most of the 2nd half.
However that does make the game very chaotic.
Joe Hart completely lost the plot and nearly let Cech score from a goalkick...! (Was fun as hell to watch!)
Cech completely saved the game for me in the last minute with a great save. He had red conditioning in this match.

All in all I thought it was a great match. Maybe my favourite so far. It had some moments of madness, but some very organic build up and a congested midfield, which I like. And the counter attacking felt natural when it happened, not forced from chaos.

The lowered finishing and kicking power made shots far less predictable for both me and the AI. I will be using manual shooting when I start my ML, but normal shooting needs toning down, and I think my edits help a bit.

Guys, may be jumping the gun. But simply increasing Defensive Prowess for all goalkeepers to 99, has improved them significantly. Streaming in 5 mins.

Hey dmendenhall_9 good testing with the goalkeepers. Last year I too buffed up all the goalkeepers to 99 for their keeper stats and it made a slight improvement, not nearly enough though.

However, your video is indicating perhaps the goalie stats have a bigger impact this year, I can only hope!

Did you try 99 jump?

Matt, I'll try that now and watch your stream. It would make some sense actually, as defensive prowess is basically just the old response stat for defenders, and that's what I think goalkeepers need more of, IMO.

First half highlights. Juve (Me) vs Milan. Using defensive prowess for Keepers at 99. Seen some brilliant saves first half. Also players with the "The Destroyer" play style making an impact on defensive.
michael essien for Milan with the diving save on Morata shot, Essien an all around tank first half.

25 minute match, manual passing & shooting, top player -1 speed. Milan is using long ball, possession, wide attacking.

Great 2nd half. The goalies were on point against long range shots, no more long shot OP.

Overall, I just couldn't break down AC Milan and get a good shot on goal. Most were from outside the box. AC Milan had 19 tackles in the match to go along with their real life average. I had 14. I blew the game by failing to clear the ball fast enough, shouldn't have lost, but hey, its football.
