EA Sports has released a couple new screenshots that tie together with the previously discussed notion of being a playmaker in Madden NFL 16.

There is not much new info within EA's latest post, but there is a mention of "dynamic goals and achievements" based around what you do as a playmaker. It's purely speculation, but perhaps this means there will be more focus on the "Be a Pro" portion of the game, or at least there will be more ways for you to reach certain benchmarks that make each game a bit more unique.

Check out the screens at the attached link or click on them below.

The 2015 NBA Draft Lottery was heartbreak for some, and relief and joy for others. At this point, we have now received the major bullet points that EA will be touting this year for NHL 16. The big things that detracted from NHL 15 were a lack of modes and a general rushed feeling everything had off the ice. Clearly, EA is trying to correct those issues this season.

So let's breakdown what we know piece by piece and talk about all this.

Players On The Rise

Youth was the big winner this week. Anthony Rizzo received a plus-five overall to go to a 91 overall. Manny Machado received a plus-three overall to go to an 86 overall. Bryce Harper continued his ascent as he's now a 90 overall after getting another plus-three boost. And Gerritt Cole received a plus-four boost to rise to a 90 overall.

Michael Pineda and Marcus Semien both should be pointed out as well. Over the last two weeks those guys have received plus-eight in the overall rating category. Pineda has now become a Gold, and Semien has become a Silver.

For the collection hounds out there, Michael Brantley received a plus-two rating this week, which boosted him to an 89 overall. This means he is no longer needed for the Cleveland Indians collection as Kenny Lofton's rating is an 88. Therefore, you do not need to own any Gold players to finish the Indians collection.

Players On The Decline

The NL East took the brunt of the damage this week. Gio Gonzalez, Jayson Werth and Chase Utley all were downgraded from Gold to Silver. The biggest loser overall this week was Steve Cishek whose overall dropped minus-six on the week. The Blue Jays rotation also took a shot as R.A. Dickey and Mark Buehrle both were dinged in ratings.

The collection hounds got a gift with Michael Brantley going up enough to not be needed anymore for the Cleveland Indians collection, but Yadier Molina going down minus-four this week means he's now needed for the St. Louis Cardinals collection.

Steve Cishek went from Silver to Bronze

Odell Beckham Jr. has beat out Rob Gronkowski and will be on the cover of Madden NFL 16.

It's hard to be too shocked by the result. Odell Beckham Jr. had the highlights and the stats in his rookie season. In just 12 games, he had 91 receptions, 1,300 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. Oh, and there's this catch.

That being said, Rob Gronkowski would have been a fine selection as well. He's a national treasure, and regardless of Deflategate, I know GRONK is pure and innocent in all of that.

Right now, there's a lot of negative attention around the Patriots though, and so that probably did not help Gronkowski's case. Either way, perhaps Patriots fans will be relieved he's not going to be on the cover. While Gronkowski did get through last year mostly injury free -- and the Madden Curse is not as evil as it once was -- it's probably better not to tempt the football gods.

Looking forward, some news about what folks can expect from Madden NFL 16 has started to come out. Beckham Jr. being on the cover makes buzzwords like "battle for air supremacy" and a focus on fighting for 50/50 balls make a lot of sense as well.

We will be sure to update you with any other updates that trickle out at this point, but until then how is everybody feeling about the selection?

As the weeks have gone by, Diamond Dynasty has continued to be something I play on an almost daily basis. It's still popular to chat about among the staff as well, so it seems time to check in with a couple more tips for getting the most out of this popular mode nestled within MLB 15 The Show.

And just to be clear, I will be talking about how to get the most out of the auction house before discussing a couple basic strategies for when you get out on the field.

Let's get to it.

If somebody is talking about sports games and what trends have changed them in the last five years, it would be easy to argue that virtual team building has been the trendsetter. Whether it's Ultimate Team (EA titles), or Diamond Dynasty (MLB The Show), or MyTeam (NBA 2K), or MyClub (PES) every major sports title has taken a stab at this mode.

And it's easy to see from both a business and consumer level why this has become a trend. There's plenty of money to be had here, and the modes are extremely popular.

At the end of the day, a ton of people like to build their own team, and just as many people like collecting things, or buying/selling things, or just opening packs of virtual cards to see what surprises are within.

In a lot of ways, many of these modes are not unlike Hearthstone or any other collectable card game (CCG for short). You usually want the best cards possible, and the idea of opening that next pack always has an allure.

But the interesting thing about Diamond Dynasty is that it decides to eschew as much of the noise as possible. And that's what I want to talk about after the jump.

Signature animations have become more of a mainstay in sports games as the years have gone by. The current era of mimicking real-life animations was first defined by NBA 2K during the PS3/Xbox 360 generation, but every sports game has tried to get in on the signature-style game.

MLB The Show is no different here, so we'll be taking a look at some of the home run swings in The Show to see how they compare to their real-life counterparts. We'll take a look at the National League today, and then later in the week we'll take a look at the American League.

Beyond the first day of coverage where I talked a lot about scoring chances, most of the rest of what's been talked about in one way or another touched on the role physicality plays in FIFA 15. It's something that leads to gameplay moments that are funny, terrible, amazing, perfect, awkward and everything in between.

For better or worse, physicality is what defines FIFA 15. Whether that's the intention or not, I'm not sure, but it's what I experience more than anything else when playing the game.

So after the jump, I'll let the GIFs do most of the talking as I show off a couple more ways physicality plays in to the FIFA 15 experience.

So far this week we've taken a look at scoring chances and the jostling mechanic in FIFA 15. Today we'll be chatting about standing tackles.

And in case the title wasn't obvious enough, "bring the violence" would be my tagline for standing tackles in FIFA 15. It's a mechanic that tends to reward the ultra physical, and we'll take a look at why that is in GIF and video form after the jump.

Yesterday I talked about scoring chances in FIFA 15, and today I'm here to change things up and talk about the jostle mechanic in FIFA 15.

First off, I have to explain how jostling/jockeying works in this year's game. The jostling mechanic, at its core, is a simple and smart gameplay mechanic that you can use on both offense and defense. On offense, you'll jostle/jockey for position by using L2 (on PS4) or LT (on Xbox One). On defense, you'll mostly use the B button (on Xbox One) or Circle button (on PS4) to "lock on" and fight for position against the ball carrier. (Take note: from here on out if I mention controls I'll be mentioning just PS4 controls for simplicity's sake). At its core, it's a mechanic that allows some push and pull to go on between two players as they fight for position and the ball.

Still with me so far? Cool, then after the jump I'll show off the jostling mechanic in GIF form as we get in to the meat of this breakdown.

It's a good time to be a soccer fan. Champions League is down to the last 16 teams, league play is entering its final stretch, Europa League has been fun to this point, and we have two quality soccer games this season in PES 2015 and FIFA 15.

And while I like PES a lot, I'll be focusing on just FIFA 15 this week in a group of features that will focus on the attacking and defensive play in the game.

With that being said, today's feature is all about looking at some of the most common scoring chances I've come across this year in FIFA 15 -- and the good, bad and ugly that come with them.

When taken out of concept, many things in life can have very different meanings. But sometimes, no matter the context, somebody says something so delightful that it's joyous in every context. With that in mind, I give you the greatest piece of sports commentary I've ever heard in a video game.

If you disagree, come armed with your best counter-example because I think this Martin Tyler line is the be all, end all in commentary double takes.
