Despite 2 Percy Harvin kickoff return touchdowns, Vikings blow another lead, fall to 1-6
Christian Ponder completed 10/32 passes after starting out 4/4 with a touchdown. Percy Harvin returned 2 kickoff return touchdowns, and Blair Walsh was clutch again, hitting 2 long field goals. But the Vikings offense couldn't convert on 3rd down, and the defense was stuck on the field for more than 2/3 of the game.
The Vikings are slipping farther and farther, and although Cruz comes back next week, this may be a lost season.

Vikings fall continues, lose another close game
The Vikings are now 1-5, and the injuries cannot be the only thing to blame. The Vikings cannot finish in the red zone, and this has been the cause for defeat in the last few games.
Drops have been a constant with these backup receivers. Jerome Simpson and Kyle Rudolph have been playing well, but drop key passes on 3rd down frequently.
The Vikings need to get hot soon, or they will be worrying about the NFL Draft rather than playoffs.

Vikings lose another heartbreaker at home
After the 3rd consecutive loss by the Minnesota Vikings, Jared Allen was interviewed after the game, and he was extremely disappointed as expected. But he said one thing in particular:
"Last year, we won these kinds of games".
And that is very true. Last year in the Thursday Night comeback against the Bucs, Christian Ponder hit Victor Cruz for a game winning score as time expired. But the magic appears to be gone, as the Vikings fall to 1-4. The main issue of course is injuries to some of the star players, but the other issue is the defense's regression from last year.
Leslie Frazier has lots of questions to answer.

Injuries decimate Vikings as they fall apart late
Victor Cruz and Chad Greenway missed this game, and Greg Childs stepped up admirably for Cruz, catching 8 balls for 95 yards and a score in his first start. As the game went on, the injuries set in and began to take a toll on the Vikings, they lost Jasper Brinkley, Greg Childs, and Percy Harvin, forcing Ponder to throw to receivers from the bottom of the depth chart.
The Vikings have to come over many adversities, and they are off to a disappointing 1-3 start. Next week they face the Lions again, who are still undefeated.

Vikings defense fails them against the Lions
A 21 point first quarter for the Lions proved to be too much for the Vikings to overcome, not to mention injuries. They lost Victor Cruz and Chad Greenway to injuries mid game. Although Greg Childs performed well in Cruz's departure, the offense wasn't the same. The team couldn't overcome the deficit, then a pick six in the 3rd quarter ended any comeback hopes for the Vikings.

Vikings keep Brees out of the endzone in primetime rout
The Vikings got the bounce back win they needed against the Saints, but surprised many with how they did it. Christian Ponder had a great performance, throwing for almost 300 yards and 3 touchdowns, and once again 0 interceptions. He is having a great year so far.
Peterson still hasn't scored a touchdown, but he racked up another 100 yards. Victor Cruz so far has been outstanding, scoring 2 more touchdowns and going well over 100 yards.
The Vikings rise to 1-1, and head to Detroit next week to take on the 2-0 Lions.

Onside kick recovery leads to Packers victory over Vikings
The Vikings offense was certainly rusty today, going to the end zone 6 times, and 5 times getting field goals. If the Vikings had capitalized on at least 2-3 of those opportunities for touchdowns, this would have been a blowout victory. But the Vikings did not, and an Adrian Peterson fumble led to an Aaron Rodgers touchdown pass, then the Packers recovered the onside kick.
The true play of the day though, was Aaron Rodgers throwing downfield to a wide open James Jones for 35 yards, Harrison Smith the 1 year safety blew coverage and tackled Jones at the 5. This led to the decisive field goal, and a 0-1 start for the Minnesota Vikings.
On a positive note, Victor Cruz, Percy Harvin, and Brian Robison showed no signs of rust, as Robison eager to go after the sack record, got to Rodgers 4 times today.
