Game Notes
Nobody saw the Miami Dolphins coming, an 8-8 wild card team with a rookie quarterback that is ranked towards the bottom of the league in offense. But they win their games by running the ball with Reggie Bush, and great defense. The Giants on the other hand, are no stranger to the playoffs. They've been to the Super Bowl with Eli Manning twice in the past 6 years, and he gets his chance at a 3rd.

Despite coming back from 1-6, Vikings miss postseason as Falcons take last wild card spot

The Minnesota Vikings season is over due to the Falcons winning their last game against the San Francisco 49ers. The Vikings have a lot to think about this offseason, they know they have the talent to make playoff runs, but they need to think about how they dug themselves a 1-6 hole this year.

Vikings save season after knocking out Manning

What a way to end the year. The Vikings crawled back from 1-6 to finish the season 9-7, and finished it by beating Peyton Manning and the Broncos. Jared Allen knocked Manning out on a late sack, which ultimately sealed the Broncos fate, as backup Brock Osweiler threw an easy interception to clinch the game to Mistral Raymond.

The Vikings can just sit and watch now and see if they grab that last wild card spot.

Game Notes
The Vikings need this game to make the playoffs, but a win does not guarantee it. The Vikings will need a lot of help, but the only thing they need to worry about first is a victory. This will not come easy against Peyton Manning, who is also fighting for a playoff spot. The Vikings will need to win the game on offense.

Vikings save season with close victory over Falcons

This game turned into a shootout as two red-hot quarterbacks faced off in Christian Ponder & Matt Ryan. Each threw for over 350 yards and a couple touchdowns, while Ponder threw one more than Ryan. Adrian Peterson accounted for 150 yards total and 2 total touchdowns, and ended up being the decisive touchdown at the end.

The key play was made by Chris Cook, who popped the punt returner of the Falcons, and recovered the fumble at the 1 yard line, setting up the game winning touchdown.

The Vikings move to 8-7, and need one more win to be back in playoff contention.

Game Notes
The Vikings travel to Atlanta to take on the explosive Falcons in a battle of two teams trying to lock up a wild card spot. The Vikings sit at 7-7, coming off of a huge victory against the Panthers, while the Falcons are at 8-6, one win away from guaranteeing a spot. The Vikings will look to slow them down with a heavy dose of Adrian Peterson, and the duo of Harvin and Cruz.

Interesting Stats
-Brian Robison has 19 sacks on the year, 3 away from tying Jared Allen and Michael Strahan's single season record
-The Vikings lead the league in sacks with 43, and least points allowed with 301
