Vikings stay perfect as they make quick work of the Titans

The Vikings have improved to 4-0 on the year as the Titans hung with them for the first half, and the VIkings held a 20-13 lead at the half. But Percy Harvin exploded in the 2nd half for a touchdown, his 3rd total of the day. Christian Ponder didn't have his best game, but it was enough to bring the VIkings another road win on the year, and now they are coming home for 4 home games in a row.

Game Notes
The Vikings are 3-0 and have rolled through their first 3 opponents, winning games with a balanced passing and rushing attack, and hard hitting defense, featuring a group of 4 ballhawking linebackers, and subbing in 4 different defensive lineman, including Jared Allen and Brian Robison. The Titans are 1-2 and are struggling, and they need a home win to get back on track.

The Vikings roll to 3-0

The Vikings dominated this game from the first drive to the last drive. Christian Ponder had another great game, utilizing his young receivers, this time Greg Childs was the main beneficiary, catching 150 yards and a score. Adrian Peterson got into the endzone twice today, and the defense was lights out, scoring a defensive touchdown, and picking off Stafford twice.

The Vikings are 3-0, and are proving that they should have been in the playoffs last year.

The 2-0 Vikings are facing off against the 1-1 Lions, who won the NFC North last year, and came a game away from a Super Bowl. The VIkings are cruising right now, with the #1 ranked defense and the #7 ranked offense. The Lions will have a difficult task of slowing down a passing attack that has been getting better every week, and then have to remember of the beast that lies in the backfield.

Vikings surge back in 4th quarter in defensive game

The Vikings and Packers rivalry is never the same, and this one was a defensive battle. The score going into the 4th quarter was 10-3, and the Packers led. But Christian Ponder led two back to back scoring drives that both resulted in a Percy Harvin touchdown. The duo of Cruz & Harvin combined for 17 catches and over 200 yards, while Childs pitched in for another 30.

The Vikings are 2-0, and are looking better than they did last year at this point. The motto for this season appears to be redemption.

Game Notes
The Vikings are coming off of a dominating win against the Indianapolis Colts, as the Packers did the same to the Bears. The VIkings will continue to use their 4 linebackers in rotation as they did last week, as each of the 4 picked up 5 tackles on the day, and 2 combined sacks. The Packers will look to attack with a fierce passing offense, with newly acquired wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.

Vikings begin year with a statement game

The Vikings started out warm in this game, and finished red hot. Adrian Peterson ran all over the improved Colts defense, and Christian Ponder was a surgeon all afternoon, throwing for over 400 yards and 3 scores. One of which was an amazing 94 yard throw and catch from Ponder to 3rd year Greg Childs. The trio of Harvin, Cruz, and Childs is becoming one of the most feared trios in the league, and adding Adrian Peterson to the mix makes it into a pick your poison kind of offense.

Game Notes
A new season, and a new beginning for these two teams. Last year the Colts were still building, becoming a young team and growing together, while the Minnesota Vikings disappointed. Despite starting 1-6, they surged back to 9-7 in hopes of a playoff spot, but fell short. This year, the coaching staff will be on the hot seat to get them back, and a young team that has been clicking on all cylinders should be able to bring them back to NFC North supremacy.
