Game Notes
The last week of the regular season for these two teams, and not the last game for the VIkings. They will be moving on to the playoffs, but will not overlook their rival Packers. Victor Cruz will be sitting this week out due to last week's injury, so the Vikings will look to Adrian Peterson to carry them.
Some interesting stats..Percy Harvin passed 1000 yards last week, Vikings safety Mistral Raymond leads the league in interceptions with 7, and Vikings defensive end Brian Robison is 4 sacks away from tying his teammate Jared Allen's sack record for the year.

Texans win defensive battle over the Vikings

One of the best games of year involved two of the best defensive teams in the NFL, and they did not disappoint. The Texans pulled away with a late touchdown run by Arian Foster, and Christian Ponder could not lead the Vikings down the field. The story of the game might have been Victor Cruz's injury early in the 3rd quarter, which slowed down the VIkings passing attack. The Vikings and Texans end up at 11-4, each with one game left.

Game Notes
In the game of the week, the 11-3 Vikings face off against the 10-4 Texans, which will be a battle of tough run games, and terrific defenses. Respectively, the defenses rank #3, and the Texans #1, so Christian Ponder will struggle, but luckily he has the best running back in the NFL behind him. The Vikings look to continue their "road warriors" demeanor, by going to 7-1 on the road this year.

Vikings rout the Rams in the 4th quarter

The Vikings and Rams had a defensive battle going through the first 3 quarters of this ball game, with the game being 14-10 in the favor of the Vikings, but then the flood gates opened when Adrian Peterson broke a 59 yard touchdown, followed by 3 touchdown passes from Christian Ponder all to Victor Cruz. The Rams struggles continue, and they fall to 2-12 on the year with many questions heading towards the offseason.

Game Notes
The league worst Rams host one of the best teams in the NFC, the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings have been winning games with stellar defense lately, and will more than likely use this game to have their offense bounce back. The Rams have been struggling in all aspects of football, only scoring 8 touchdowns with the elite Steven Jackson. This will be a tough game for the Rams, and more than likely are falling to 2-12 on the year.

Vikings defensive dominance seals 10th win of the Year

The Bears fall from grace continues, and the Vikings rise to relevancy continues as the Vikings defense harassed Jay Cutler all afternoon at the Metrodome, sacking him 7 times, picking him off once, and returning a fumble for a touchdown. The Vikings defense has carried the team the last 3 weeks, due to the weak performances from the Vikings offense. Peterson was held in check today, besides a 45 yard screen pass from Ponder for a touchdown. Ponder spread the ball around, throwing a touchdown to Jerome Simpson.

Next week the VIkings take on one of the worst teams in the league at St. Louis, and at 10-3, the Vikings have to be feeling good about their chances.

Game Notes
2 weeks ago the Vikings went to Soldier Field and destroyed the Bears in all 3 aspects of the game, by scoring 3 offensive touchdowns, 2 defensive touchdowns, and 1 special teams touchdown. The Vikings control their own destiny in the playoff race, and another divisional win will almost guarantee them the division leader. Jay Cutler and the Bears will be motivated though to beat the rival Vikings.

Christian Ponder outplays Aaron Rodgers in Vikings victory

The Vikings defense continues to impress, with 4 more sacks and 2 more interceptions of Aaron Rodgers. But the story was the Vikings offense, as Adrian Peterson ran all over the Packers defense, and Christian Ponder picked them apart, throwing 2 touchdowns and almost 300 yards. The Vikings have control of the division, and are most certainly locked into the division winner barring a huge setback.

Game Notes
The division leading Minnesota Vikings travel to Green Bay after a huge bounce back win over the Chicago Bears. The Packers have been disappointing this year, with the 29th ranked defense in the league, and a bottom 20 offense. The Vikings offense still is slumping, but the defense is doing enough for them to win games, and Adrian Peterson is still having an MVP like year.

Vikings bounce back by blowing out the Bears

The Vikings scored 2 defensive touchdowns in the first quarter, then Christian Ponder threw 2 more to seal the rout. The Bears weren't even close the entire game, as the Vikings defense suffocated Jay Cutler and picked him off 3 times. Percy Harvin took a kickoff to the house for his 3rd of the year, leading the NFL. The Vikings needed this win to get back on track, as they travel to Green Bay next week.

Drops are the story of the Vikings loss to Detroit

9 total drops from Christian Ponder's receivers led to 4 Blair Walsh field goals. The Vikings couldn't get anything going offensively, which allowed Matthew Stafford and the Lions to crawl back into the game, and he threw a touchdown to Calvin Johnson with 1 minute left. Ponder led the Vikings down to the red zone, but they failed to convert on 4th and 10.

Game Notes
The 7-2 Vikings face their divisional rival 4-4 Lions at home this week, and the despite their 4-4 record which is deceiving, the Lions have been very good this year. They are the 5th ranked offense, and the 2nd ranked defense in the league. They'll be tasked with slowing down the explosive Vikings offense, which is ranked #7. The Vikings will look to slow down Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson.
