WINNIPEG - After losing the last 2 games in overtime/shootout fashion, the Jets came back to Winnipeg to face an injury-plagued Chicago Blackhawks. The defending Stanley Cup champions came without key players like Patrick Kane and Corey Crawford.
After a slow start, conceding a cheap goal to Bouchard, James Reimer found his groove and did an awesome job between the pipes. Meanwhile, in the offense, Blake Wheeler's hat-trick proved to be too much for the 'Hawks and the Jets came out victorious by a 4 goal margin.
With this result, the Jets are now at second place in the central division with 17 points, 3 behind the leaders from Colorado. For the next game, the Jets welcomes the Red Wings.

Important: this was the first game of the season where the Jets didn't have any penalties called against them.

WINNIPEG - After losing to the Nashville Predators in the Music City, the Jets continued their road trip by facing other 3 division foes: the last placed Stars, the division-leading Avalanche and the always dangerous Blues. Things started looking good after a 4-3 Shootout win in Dallas and after a 3-0 early lead in Denver. But the strong Avs showed their strength and brought the Jets back to Earth, coming back to win the game 4-3 in the overtime.
In the last one of this 4-game road trip, the Jets and the Blues had a back and forth battle, but the home team came out victorious in overtime too.
"I don't think 4 points in 3 road games is a bad thing, specially after the way our season started. But, especially in Colorado, we could have done better. We have a good team out there and everyone can see these guys are playing their hearts out even this early in the season and even with some injuries plaguing our roster. Honestly, I think we're doing really well" Said head coach Paul Maurice in interview after the game versus Saint Louis.

For the next game the Jets will be back home to face another division foe: the defending champions Chicago Blackhawks

WINNIPEG - The Blues came to Winnipeg looking for their fifth win in seven games, and they earned it in a high scoring battle with the then streaking Jets.

Well, it was finally evaluated as a broken leg. Bryan Little will be out for 10 weeks and was moved to the Injured Reserve list. M. Scheifele will play in the first line along Ladd and Wheeler meanwhile

WINNIPEG - After being winless for the first five games of the season, the Jets won the second consecutive game by dominating the Canadiens 5-2. Winnipeg had a major penalty called against them for the third consecutive time, but the team is doing an amazing job killing those penalties, scoring two Shorthanded Goals in the last two games.

WINNIPEG - The Jets seemed a bit stressed in a second night of a back-to-back against the Dallas Stars. The penalty killing units were surely put to test as the home team commited 9 penalties against the visiting Stars, 2 of them were converted into goals.
Winnipeg remains winless. For the next game they will play the New Jersey Devils at MTS Centre.

SAINT PAUL - Devin Setoguchi scored again, his third in two games, and James Van Riemsdyk scored his first goal in a Jets jersey, but it wasn't enough as Jason Pominville late empty-netter sunk the furious rally made by the Jets on the third period. After blowing an early lead on the first and keeping scoreless on the second, Jets stroke twice in the third to keep the game at grabs, but it fell short once again.

Things only seem to get worse as first line Center Bryan Little left the game with an injury. The evaluation is still pending but he probably will miss the next game, tomorrow vs the Dallas Stars.

WINNIPEG - Devin Setoguchi two goal effort wasn't enough after Silfverberg scored the Ducks' winning goal with 40 seconds left to play. Once again, the Jets felt on an early hole after Perry scored twice in the first period. Palmieri's Power Play goal in the beggining of the second period seemed to put the game away but Setoguchi striked two times to make it close again. In the third period, Frolik scored the home team's equalizer and it looked like we were headed to another OT game in Winnipeg, but in the last minute Getzlaf found Silfverberg behind the Jets blue liners and the forward deked Reimer away to score the game winner

WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Jets showed earlier signs that this season will be a revamping one. After announcing a new GM, the team did 3 trades in a row after the end of the pre-season and will be featuring a totally new looking roster.
First, the Jets completed a big trade with the Maple Leafs by sending LW Evander Kane, D Mark Stuart, G Hutchinson and the team's 3rd round pick in the 2014 draft for LW James Van Riemsdyk, D Jake Gardiner, G Reimer, D Macwilliam and Toronto's 2nd Rounder in the same draft

For those who thought a trade this big would already be enough, the Jets had two surprises. At the same day, the team acquired RW V. Nichushkin, LW D. Jeffrey and D C. Gaunce from the Dallas Stars, sending away D G. Clitsome, LW A. Lowry and D J. Morrisey.

Later, Winnipeg acquired D Andrey Pedan and D Marc Cantin from the New York Islanders, sending RW Chris Thorburn and D Paul Postma.

After this, the new team GM had some interesting words to say: "Well, we dumped some players who I thought weren't part of the team's future and acquired some new players who will have plenty of chances to prove themselves here. And some of our top prospects will find a clear road to open spots in our squad. We are still in some kind of rebuilding proccess, but I think we realistically can dream about making the playoffs right now."

After all these movements (and some ups-and-downs between NHL and AHL), this should be the new Winnipeg roster for the upcoming season:
