I haven't been able to do any of this association lately as I have been playing MLB 13: The Show and My Team in 2K (made it to the first seed today), but I will be continuing my Detroit Pistons Association most likely tomorrow.

Opening Day
MINNEAPOLIS- Opening day was an exciting one for the Minnesota Twins. The scoring started in the second with an RBI single by Travis Hafner that gave the Twins a 1-0 lead. Three straight solo home runs in thr third inning off of Cliff Lee from Justin Upton, Troy Tulowitzki, and Allen Craig increased the lead to 4-0. They eventually got the lead up to 5-0 after an RBI single from Allen Craig in the fifth.
Madison Bumgarner cruised through five innings while only allowing one hit. The sixth inning was a different story. The inning started with a Brett Lawrie error and only got worse. After walking Mark Texeira then hitting Geovany Soto, Bumgarner then allowed a single to Jonny Gomes and a three-run double to Alex Rodriguez, which made it a 5-4 game. After coming into the game in relief of Bumgarner, Brad Lincoln gave up an RBI single to David Bautista to tie the game at five.
With no one scoring in the seventh or eight inning, we headed to the ninth in a 5-5 game. Sergio Santos pitched a scoreless top of the ninth inning and put the pressure on Burke Badenhop. The inning began with a Cameron Maybin single. After a stolen base and a base hit by Justin Upton, the Twins had runners on first and third with nobody out. Troy Tulowitzki hit a ground ball slow enough to give Cameron Maybin time to cross home plate as the Twins walked off with a win on opening day.
