In reading all of responses from the OS community, in regards to the latest Madden NFL 13 news, I figured it was a good time to post some of my thoughts and quotes from the community.

The first thing that needs to be addressed, is the Madden NFL 13 gameplay video we released yesterday (no it wasn't fake, as some figured was the case.) Matt Bialosuknia, EA Sports Audio Producer, mentioned on Twitter, it was captured from an older build. So we can relax... a little... Right?

It was very peculiar that there were no mentions of player names, in that specific video. But... If you caught the Madden NFL 13 audio webcast, you can hear them calling out names. In particular, Nantz and Simms called out Aaron Rodgers and Ben Roethlisberger in one of the intros. (Still not gameplay, but it's there.)

Let's not forget, another gameplay announcement arrives on June 4th, which leads to a lot of speculation. Obviously, they don't want to show that off, just yet.

It was great to hear Nantz interrupt himself as an interception was thrown, almost NBA 2K'ish. There are 82 hours and 9,000 lines of commentary added this year, including the flubbing of words, making it sound realistic and not always precise on every line. Let's hope it carries over into franchise mode.

The authentic quarterback cadences sounded pretty good. Unfortunately, only the "Top 10" quarterbacks will have their cadence in the game. We know Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, and Ben Roethlisberger are in, not sure about the rest of them. Obviously, I'd love to hear Romo and his "Kill! Kill! Kill!" and I'm sure Giants fans will be clamoring for Eli's "Omaha! Omaha!" What are your guesses? Who would you like to hear?

I'd say the community is fairly happy with the Madden team going with their own original score and dumping EA Trax. If interested, you can hear the Madden NFL 13 score in the webcast.

Sage, if I recall correctly... When I attended the Madden NFL 13 media day, it was mentioned that none of the custom audio was changed. So there's that...

The new Madden NFL 13 scoreboard banner adjustment was a success, for the most part. A few readers chimed in with some more feedback. It's almost apples to oranges at this point, but it also shows how passionate some of the fan-base is.

If any of these links interest you, talk about them!Crazy ending to the 6ers Celtics game last night. I mean sure, that was a foul on KG, but it's not usually called that late in a game. I hate Boston, so don't really care... But still... The Lakers didn't show up against the Thunder. I was expecting a much closer game. Guess the layoff didn't hurt them at all.

The hockey playoffs are winding down as well with just 4 teams remaining. Busy morning, so I need to keep rolling...

Carlos Beltran Goes into Hiding

Little has been said of the season that Carlos Beltran is having for the Cardinals. More surprisingly, however; is that little attention is being given to just how amazing he has been so far in the month of May.

When you look a little closer it's easier to understand why he is flying under the radar.

Did you know...

  • Beltran had a two-homer game the same night that Jered Weaver threw his no-hitter against the Minnesota Twins.

  • Beltran also had a two-homer game the same night that Josh Hamilton had his four-homer game.

If any of these links interest you, talk about them!Ahhh yes. Wednesday nights... I play basketball every Wednesday night and Saturday morning... You know "The Zone" right? Yup, I was in it last night. Couldn't miss a shot, every pass was on point, rebounds seemed to magnetically appear in my hands. Great feeling!

Bah, anyways. Sucks Chris Paul and Blake Griffin were injured last night. Should lead up to an interesting Game 6. The Heat advance, but that wasn't a shocker. Caps and Rangers go for Game 7! Not a fan of hockey, but love Game 7's in any sport.

Watching NBA press conferences, I've noticed LeBron, Wade, Durant, Amare and quite a few others wear glasses. I'm guessing it is a fashion statement, I think they all look ridiculous.

QOTD: Are these glasses a good look or am I just showing my age? Hell, maybe they just ALL actually WEAR prescription glasses and I'm just dumb.

Is it just me or does the Madden NFL 13 scoreboard banner look odd, at the top? If they are using the ESPN license, one would think it would look similar to the above picture.

Of course, that is a photoshopped image, I'm using as an example. If it were me, I'd first remove the top scoreboard banner and bring it down to the bottom, just like ESPN broadcasts do. Add the play clock to the right side and replace the ESPN logo with an EA Sports logo and be done with it. Just looks out of place, at the top.

Again, maybe it's just me.

What do you think? How would you change it? Maybe you like it as is...? Post your thoughts.

I went to get my wifes windows tinted yesterday, but when I got there, the place was in shambles. They had just been robbed, just before I arrived. What a crazy situation that could have been. The owner of the place was out of it, couldn't believe what had just happened. I know the feeling, my place was broken into a few years back. Karma will get em'.

Sooooooo tired. Stayed up until 2:00 AM watching the Grizz vs. Clippers game last night. Chris Paul pretty much took over in OT, up 3 games to 1 now. Spurs swept the Jazz to advance to round 2. 4 games tonight!

Daughter woke up late, but figure I get the blame for that one. Had to rush her to school this morning. She (myself included) is not a morning person.

Sure was strange when that crazy lady ran on the court in the Lakers vs. Nuggets game huh? Supposedly, she has a history of stalking players.

What! Saturday's too? Sure, why not. Getting ready to head out and play some basketball. Haven't played in 2 weeks, probably be a little rusty. I wonder what type of baller I run into today. The Mavs and Knicks laid eggs last night, as the brooms are starting to come out. No doubt the biggest baseball news is with Mariano Rivera. Torn ACL, done for the season. Can't stand the Yankees, but I hate to see a great player go down like that. Rose and Shump suffered the same injury, just crazy.

As for my team, Kung Fu Panda broke his hand and might be done for a while. Huge blow...

Debating on whether I should see The Avengers this morning... The Internet is screaming that it's a can't miss, can't believe it is 2 hours and 22 minutes long... I know I'm going to watch it, just don't know if I want to stand in the long lines.

Took a week off from the gym and I'm really feeling it today. Normally, after a week, I still don't get sore. Must have been the roids. (I keed...)

After seeing the no-no from Weaver last night, is it me... Or do no-hitters come at a more frantic pace than previous years? Seems there is 1 or 2 every month.

Still looking at pets, might have to save it for after E3 though...

My daughter is funny. She farted on each step she took yesterday, while going up the stairs. She was PROUD! That's my girl!
