And trust me, I already saw the pic where they had the Bucks uniforms messed up...same as last year. But I guess I'll just assume they didn't have time to fix the colors.
Yeah body models could be accurate, it doesn't need more ressources. This one's on the art team nothing or nobody else. I'am definately good with what they've done this year though as I'am not super into that.

They aren't "excuses," but the reality of them programming a video game. Time, expenses, labor and other issues are going effect what can and can't be addressed. Now, I say that also hoping that they can fix some of if not all of these issues before release or through patches.

What I won't do is pretend their job is easy, that they are "incompetent" or that they are "lazy."

Video game programming is probably very difficult and especially when you have deadlines to make. And have to work with a group of people instead of addressing issues on your own.

Messing with frame rates, textures...stuff like that...that can affect other things.

How were they able to add a face mask and new hair on D-Rose last year.... in a PATCH?? That didn't screw up the game.
I don't work in programming or deal in code, but I'm sure the fixes aren't as simple as you believe. Especially when they need to address 400+ athletes, arenas, jerseys and other assets. I don't like that inaccuracies occur either, but the reality is these are video games and some will get by.

It'll never be 1:1 to reality, but improvements should be asked for. Not by insuitating that the developers are lazy, want to milk the consumer or any other silliness.

When ps4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio come out watch how your able to slap a handband on your Created Player, just watch how your able to edit the body type of your player and the current consoles won't have these features. Do you really think its hardware limitations that we can't slap a freakin headband on a Created Player, just use your heads 2k is point blank holding back these small features to make it look like a major leap for the Neo and Scorpio consoles. When this happens I'm going to be like I told you so. Same thing goes for Madden with their Toy Story running animations watch how that changes for Neo and Scorpio mean while the current consoles animations are recycled from the prior year. This is how business works, you got to be a fool to think 2k is not going to take advantage of it. How many years is it going to take to slap a headband on CAP, hardware limitations my behind.

Dude it has nothing to do with hardware limitations. PC's are way head of anything the NEO is gonna bring. The NEO versions will be 100% compatible with the PS4 versions, it will be the exact same game with nicer effects, better framerate and maybe higher resolution and that's about it. PS4 Neo is still a PS4, not a PS5.

There are things that 2K don't bother to add into the game and they have their reasons. They have to prioritize things.

You're going to be massively disappointed with the Neo and Scorpio...

They're not going backwards but most players have the wrong body type when they were sort of correct the year before??? Ok buddy [emoji1474].
That's so preposterous smh.

PS4 Neo is mostly coming out because they realised how ****ty VR would be on the stock PS4. People who expect a huge jump are gonna be very disappointed. I also think very few people will actually buy it the first year or at all.

# 631 Crunky @ 08/28/16 02:34 PM
Exactly my point Vni if the ps4 Neo isn't selling do you think ps4 is going to sit back and let that happen, no their going to tell these developers like 2k to hold back certain features for the new consoles. Think in business terms not what ps4 wants you to think.

I'am not sure what you're trying to say, but 2K is getting all they can get out of the PS4 for sure. Maybe the game isn't where you think it should be, some details are lacking authenticity or some options are lacking but it has nothing to do with the PS4 neo coming out. It's just a process and they have to prioritize every year.

Stop making excuses for all the blatant mess up's. There's no reason Seth Curry should look like that or any of the other players with insanely off body types.

If there is a reason I think we deserve an explanation. That way I know if I need to hold off on purchasing. I doubt we will get an explanation, they just want us to pre-order.

Who's making excuses ? I understand body models accuracy are important to some of you but relax, wow. Some guys are a little off and that's to be expected. Man first world problems at it's finest.

There are too many different conversations mixed up in here anyway.

We need gameplay.. Hopefully we get a couple blogs this week bc this screenshot thread is filled with conspiracy and randomness.
We need something other than screenshots of random players.

When we still can't put a headband on players on the Neo and Scorpio, I'm going to die laughing remembering some of the ludicrous things said in this thread

Why are you telling me to relax? I'm not cursing or saying anyone need to be fired or anything like that. I understand some you just want to play the game and probably don't care. I care how the game looks first before anything else. What's the point of a face scan while the body is totally off?

I just have issue with the art department. I have issue with the inaccuracies that should be an easy fix.

Making players' arms/legs at least close to what they should look like should not be this hard. Getting uniform colors correct should not be that hard. Same with court colors/shades.

These are the type of things that cause people to make the 'lazy' and 'lacking attention to detail' comments. And I think it's warranted in this instance.
Absolutely. We are talking about things that any PC modder can get right in a day of work. These are paid professionals and shoulder size, uniform colors ecc... don't require any technical advancements.

That's why I'm supporting the idea that is not in their best interest from a business perspective to "give the best" now. Every year they obviously need "new" features to sell the game. I think its easy as that.

Question here, how many of you are not going to buy the game because many of the player models are so off? I'm not saying it isn't a big deal cause they are wrong. I miss many of the problems many of you catch or just look over it as long as the core game play is good and I'm having fun and I myself think those player models aren't good and need changing so I'm actually just curious.

I do think though to say the art team doesn't know anatomy or is incompetent is pretty absurd. The way the animation/game moves you would have to know a little something about anatomy....yes I know the Art department does the skin and "maybe" not the animation or "skeleton" but to put what we see on that and not have it look all stupid while in motion you HAVE to know something about anatomy and can't be incompetent.

I myself draw but do not know all the little things about animation so asking a question here for those who do know. I play in broadcast view which is a little further back than this picture so from that angle the model doesn't look as bad and you would not see all the muscle definition.

That you would need as you bring the camera closer and play in a more zoomed in view or definitely in replays. Obviously they can't have 2 different player models for everybody in the game I am assuming that would be a camera view thing? So how difficult would it be to have something in the game that registers the closer you bring the camera view the more muscle definition you would see? Essentially the model would be changing as you get closer so how difficult is this to do?

Again I think they need to do something to change them and this isn't an excuse...either way I will enjoy the hell out of the game as always

What ever happened to that clip they showed of Harrison Barnes, the wrinkle on his elbows a small clip they showed. Did they just abandoned all of it or was it all fake cgi to create hype.
