We are commenting on what they are releasing. If the players looked awesome, we would say so, we have been giving good feedback on things that look great (improved lighting, improved hair, some legs seem on point, etc). But this is a forum, and we only have screenshots to comment, what do you want us to do?

Also, ideally this only leads to improvement. It is the regular dev's dream to have a forum of people who shows you the way to improve.
Its because some people struggle to differentiate between opinion and fact.

And then others struggle to respect others opinions when there's conflict.

Schroder
15.5 PER
51 TS% on 29 USG% (18th in league)
36 AST% (10th in league)
0.57 RPM (19th among PG)
0.88 ORPM (24th among PG)
-0.31 DRPM (21st among PG)

Russell
13.2 PER
51 TS% on 24 USG%
21 AST%
-3.66 RPM (68th out of 81 PGs)
-1.10 ORPM (53rd among PG)
-2.56 DRPM (73rd out of 81 PGs)

It doesn't take extensive knowledge of ratings/rosters to see Russell got the "market" treatment.

Final 2K16 Ratings
79 Ricky Rubio (MIN): 17.6 PER, 53 TS%, 18 USG%
79 Tony Parker (SAS): 16.2 PER, 55 TS%, 21 USG%
79 Dennis Schroder (ATL): 15.5 PER, 51 TS%, 29 USG%
78 Jeff Teague (ATL): 17.9 PER, 55 TS%, 27 USG%
78 Deron Williams (DAL): 14.6 PER, 53 TS%, 22 USG%
77 J.J. Barea (DAL): 15.4 PER, 54 TS%, 24 USG%
77 Jordan Clarkson (LAL): 14.3 PER, 52 TS%, 23 USG%
77 D'Angelo Russell (LAL): 13.2 PER, 51 TS%, 24 USG%

79 is clearly a stretch when compared to his peers. Russell's mediocrity was a pretty big reason why the Lakers only won 17 games. He SHOULD be better this year but that's certainly not a guarantee.

Cuz I'm bored - 2K16 rating edit

D'Angelo Russell (PG)
Offensive-Minded Point
73 Overall (-4)

OFFENSE
80 Standing Layup (-5)
85 Driving Layup (+3)
65 Post Fade (+10)
40 Post Hook (+5)
60 Post Control (+20) (Given his size he is actually quite good here)
40 Draw Foul (-25) (2K needs to adjust formula weight; too impactful to PG OVR)
80 Standing Close (-10)
80 Moving Close (-12)

72 Standing Mid (-1)
72 Moving Mid (+2)
81 Standing 3pt (+1)
79 Moving 3pt (-1)
74 Free Throw (+1)
85 Ball Control
66 Pass Vision (-5)
70 Pass IQ (-10)
70 Pass Accuracy (-10)
(lots of credit for a guy with 1.35 A/T ratio)
36 Offensive Rebound
25 Standing Dunk
40 Driving Dunk (-5)
30 Contact Dunk (+4)
79 Shot IQ (-5)
90 Hands (+1)

DEFENSE
53 Defensive Rebound
40 Block (+3)
65 Shot Contest (-5)
74 Steal (+5)
60 On-Ball Defense (+2)
55 Low Post Defense (+15) (as with his offense, his size allows him to be a factor here)
70 Reaction Time

ATHLETICISM
53 Boxout (-5)
68 Lateral Quickness
83 Speed
84 Acceleration
70 Vertical (-1)
55 Strength (+1)
85 Stamina (-3)
65 Hustle
90 Durability (+8)

INTANGIBLES
75 Pass Perception (-4)
35 Defensive Consistency
70 Pick & Roll Defense (+15)
60 Help Defense (+1)
50 Offensive Consistency (-25) (2K gave Tony Parker 50 so let's be ****ing real here)
99 Emotion
85 Potential (-3)

If we leave Russell's Draw Foul rating alone he rates 75 OVR (there is seriously way too much weight given to that attribute, and PGs are overrated league-wide for the sake of OVR as a result). Given his production (dude wasn't even All-Rookie 1st team) that's much more reasonable than a 79 OVR rating that effectively values him as an average starter.

Isn't Schroeder a better point guard though. Russell is the better offensive player. If the last 2 statements are true then Dennis would be a higher rated PG.

As a backup on a winning team and probably doing more with less. Rating would be based off him getting 10 more minutes.

I think Dennis is going to have a great season, maybe a top candidate for Most Improved so I think he might end up being a 81 or 82 at some point anyway... But I kinda care about the starting ratings because our league is going to start on Oct 1... I wanna see Jokic' rating finally, dude is being lazy or shy talking to Ronnie...

70 Reaction Time (+6)

ATHLETICISM
54 Boxout (+29) (25 rating a clear oversight)
68 Lateral Quickness
84 Speed
90 Acceleration
73 Vertical (+1)

Schroder rates 81 OVR if we leave his Draw Foul rating alone.

This video should summarize his game fairly nicely. Excellent control and decision making for a 22 year old (not normally this good a shooter - but his shot selection was also superb).

Thank you for this. It's really weird to see some not understand that attributes is what drives these ratings and some of them are entirely wrong when you put them side to side. It's completely rational to argue them.
