I don't know if I forget any, but the list gets bigger...

Paul George, Ben MacLemore, Mike Conley Jr and more. Seems like if the player has big arms they just give him the LeBron body or if they don't have a body just make big.

That Shroeder definitely looks like a wax.

Really surprised they haven't released all of the 2K17 cast guys ratings yet. Really want to see KD's, and Draymonds.

I think it was a case of them misdiagnosing the issue.

Example; Made KD's arms skinnier but left the square shoulders. Muscle def. etc.

I can see why this makes people upset, but we're at the point that it's too late for 2K17 so we just need to find a way to try and make this noise heard for next year.

Definitely not a case of laziness etc. I'm totally guessing but as I mentioned above, I think they tried and just fell short in some cases.

It may sound funny but this community can help point them in the right direction. We almost look at every pixel closer and longer than them. Then we toss it around and break it down until we get the next picture.

Just hoping they see/hear what some of us are saying and we slowly head towards what we want.
It will probably help if people stay vocal about it over the year. If the game releases and people seem to no longer have an issue with body types 2k might just ignore the issue but if it remains a complaint up until next year then 2k might not have an option but to address the issue. It's one thing if only a couple people are complaining but if there is a community of people critiquing body models then it will be hard for 2k to ignore.

Who knows though. Perhaps 2k is already hearing the complaints and are working on, or at least thinking about, ways to address the issue. It'd be great if they could atleast patch in temporary fixes if not hopefully it's one of there main goals in the art department next year.

Precisely - all it really takes is someone at or linked to the 2K team to say "guys, yes we know, we just ran out of time this year" and all the stress and concern can relax to a degree.

Sure, it won't look like many people want this year, but now its simply decision time for 17. Buy or don't based on what we know about the body models.

To be completely honest, it won't ruin anything for me (from a broadcast cam) - the baggy *** shorts will bug me more haha. But definitely not a deal breaker.

See they bring out things like Prelude, new ways of creating your player within it, Dream Team and we still dunno what else. So they probably allocate X amount of time to mess around with body models, say "yep that works" and then are instructed to keep moving on other things. Total speculation......

But I think we're at the point where we can stop going around in circles and as someone cleverly mentioned, make a thread (or something) and work out the most constructive way of helping improve it for next year.

My whole life, I'm born and raised in the Bay Area...just so happens my last name is Lebron. Trust me it confuses a lot of people now a days. Also I can never get a custom jersey with my name on it lol

The neck is part of the head. It has nothing to do with the body type.

Live may not be a threat now, but their presence in the market keeps 2K at least a little bit honest.

Only thing you can really say 2K stole was adding the face scanning for mobile IMO.

2K gave early access to your career mode all the way back for 2K10 w/ the Draft Combine w/ DRose on the cover. It was DLC just like it should be this year except back then it costed like $5. It also determined your draft stock before 2K10 came out. It was pretty bare bones compared to what it will be this year w/ colleges and a story.

You know what I think we all should give a pass to the art team this year, the blame really should go to 2k executives hire ups who decided to release the game a month early. We have no clue what amount of pressure the art team was under, just maybe they were forced by executives to work faster with the amount of time left before release of the game. So we should cut the art team some slack and focus our attention on 2k executives who set the early release date.

I'd give them a pass if we had some type of communication from them stating the constraints they work under regarding the body types and other art related updates.

I agree they need to communicate with us better but I can see the pressure they must of been under to be blindsided by an early release date. This issue we have with them could of been solved from day1 if they came out and told us you know what we didn't have the time to do so and so due to the early release date but we'll get to it in the future. All the complaints like you said would cease to exist, right now the more secretive they are about it the more we complain. Like there's no accountability or no damage control in a megagiant business in 2k is beyond me and doesn't make sense.

It's not that hard to beef up a little bit the bodies of those players, less than an hour of work, im a 3d modeler myself , seriously dudes it's not that hard.

Lets make an official thread to help and make it easy for the 2k art team to correct those bodies before release.

List of players that are seriously too skinny:

- Schroeder
- Seth Curry
- Chris Bosh
- Ian Clark

If the 2k art team is too busy they can send me the 3D models and i will correct them for free! No jokes!

Knock yourself out

Good luck with that

I would almost guarantee the major issues with the player models would be completely fixed if they corrected the fit of the jerseys. Skinnier players look too thin because the shoulder holes are way, way too big. We aren't in 2005 anymore, lol. It's like wearing a jersey thats x10 too big. Lower body is the same story.

Body types, while not perfect, aren't the problem IMO. Some guys look pretty good. But some guys, like russell, look horrible. But it's not his body type, its the air his jersey has been inflated with.

D'Angelo Russell 79
Dennis Schroder 78

Okay.
