But these screenshots of these players models has been terrible body wise.

Then you have Ronnie and Czar laughing like we have the issue and it blows my mind that they can look at these models and say "Nailed it". It's ridiculous. Yes, Czar the screens at first players were too big and yes now they are skinny.

Man, I just don't understand it? This dude has no type of muscle definition or anything. Not a game breaker but I hope they can fix this stuff before 2K17 releases.

The point they seem to missing is that it is not about being "too skinny" or "too bulky", it is about being ACCURATE; looking like the person they are tying to represent. And for some inexplicable reason, this is such a big challenge for the 2K art department.

The fact that this is still an issue makes the whole body scanning thing last year seem very gimmicky.

I work in a videogame company and I manage the community through social media and I would be fired in 2 seconds for those twits.

Only a company that does not have anything to lose would allow that.

There's humble and then there's the 2K Team it appears.

They have the market. They know they have the market. And they don't mind taking jabs at said market knowing it's going to pay for their product anyway.

And they have my money. I can say that with 100% confidence. I just wish EA could inject some humility back into them.

Hopefully, they bring it next year.

I dont get how some people give them a pass. Their behavior is not professional at all and the criticism of the body types were really justified.
While these dudes are out here making fin of the community.
Scust

some players looks great, while others look so-so. interpretation is based on said artist's perception of any given player and artistic skill level/style.

Funny, I was working with a social media manager the other day.

I watched as he copied and pasted criticisms/feedback from his company's facebook and twitter accounts into an Excel spreadsheet.

He even had them categorized by the type of comment. I imagine someone is doing this for 2K (Probably LD), but what they actually do with this feedback is a different story entirely.

EA's presence in the ecosystem is very important. Even if they never catch up to 2K quality wise, just them having a game out and being competitive is better for all of us.

Not a fan of this "new" 2K.

Czar is one of the most humble guys on the team...but he's human. Thats why the tweet is still there...his team knows this and has his back.. Its incredibly weak to me that guys (not you) feel like they can call these dudes everything under the sun and then want to act like their feelings are all hurt when guys react. Very weak. I'd personally have too much pride for that.

I also realize that there are guys that were simply providing feedback that get caught in the crossfire- but those people arent the ones that caused his reaction- guess Czar has earned the benefit of the doubt from me..

It's odd that no one has posted his series of tweets after that though...probaby because it doesnt fit into the whole 'mean 2k' narrative...but as always he gave some perspective on the whole thing..

It doesn't have anything to do with humility. For some reason you guys think you can berate, belittle and disparage 2K employees and developers and that is somehow OK. There are posters who take it personal when a detail is missed or isn't addressed. Some of y'all need to log off and go outside man. Even 23...23 has made it VERY known what his issues and grievances are from a visual and audio standpoint, but he doesn't take this stuff personal. I can tell 23 is a grown man with a life outside of playing a basketball video game...some of y'all though....

Even though everyone has a right to be human, and I'm a Czar supporter like you, once you start linking your personal and professional persona, you are subject to criticism for what you say.

When you want to sell a product, you usually need to make an effort in order to get customers to like you. In that sense, laughing about your customer, or even remotely looking like you're doing it, is heavily punished.

When you are not afraid of losing your customer, is only common sense and politeness that protects the customer, and in this case, as human as it is, they lost it a bit. And we're entitled to criticise it.

Czar only been a dev for 2K for like 2 years, he's been part of this comunity for ages. He just tweeted that like he would have 2 years ago.

Same for LD. The guy spends a lot of time with the community, he's a gamer aswell, he probably just felt like he could make a harmless joke without people going all politically correct on him. I hate that all that is a thing seriously, who cares. I feel more respected when people feel confortable enough to just be themselves.

# 111 23 @ 08/21/16 12:21 PM
Believe me when i say this.

DaCzar puts it down for us if no one else does he truly does. Thats not to say he's the only one but his heart is there wanting the best on both sides.

Hes a dev but that guy is still a community relation dude through and through.

I think he should relax and enjoy his break but that brings me to my next point.

He still spends time educating people on the development process and what it takes to make a complete balanced game and if you listen to him you'll have way more respect for the process.

He even repeats a lot of the stuff to new people every single year...that man has earned a gold respect card from the community.

I took up web design this year at a local California university and the amount of coding can be unreal.

Cant imagine doing that all in 9 months fixing the bugs etc and still having a top brand product.

One thing i haven't noticed is anyone defending ronnie though lololol.

Who cares about Ronnie2K though ? He's so easy to avoid I don't even get it. I never even hear/read about him. He's so easy to just ignore.

Nobody

However hes the lead markering guy in front and he was clapping back at people in the said discussion.

Now instead of laughing at people, maybe he needs to realize that its a discussion that needs ro be had instead of saying "oh YOU GUYS cant make up your mind"

Hes the main one claiming theyre ahead of schedule but is the cant tell if a model looks too bulky or not...especially in that jimmy butler screen.

I never see this guy going to bat for the customers.

Its not one extreme or another, its a legit point that was made...the guy looked fat and i could explain exactly why for him.

Unfortunately hes been far into himself too much since he got there in 09 but that's the guy up front like i said.

Anyway none of this matters after this week i guess and i had no part in that meltdown but I'm not going to let dudes bash the dev team because to be honest theyre the reason we keep coming back and they do listen to us.

By the way if i didnt say it THE DEV TEAM AND THE QUALITY THEY PUT OUT IS THE REASON 2K IS GREAT AND WHY WE ARE INTERESTED IN THE GAME AND WANT INFO

THE DEV TEAMS WORK IS WHY I BUY 2K

I GET EXCITED BECAUSE OF THE DEV TEAMS WORK

ITS THEM IMPLEMENTING THEIR IDEAS RIGHT THAT GET ME HYPE

not cheesy hashtags and name dropping

23 am I imagining things, or wasnt there an art dev that used to post here?

# 116 23 @ 08/21/16 02:24 PM
Never man.

There have been issues like wrong color courts since dreamcast 2k and wallyhopp (aka Reubendouglas)was the only dude who pointed that stuff out for years and finally quit when he could never get a response.

Not sure if his posts are still here but you could try to search his old posts though.

# 117 MontanaMan @ 08/21/16 03:36 PM
Amen 23.

Shout out to the unsung devs who actually work on the game.

They get no love except for the "Credits" section.

Ronnie though...

Thats who I was thinking of.

Not sure what exactly he did.

Im sure the art guys are amongst the busiest guys on the team. My boy just started working on a nationally televised cartoon and I literally cant get dude to answer a text until a week later, lol. I imagine its even more work for a game.

It would be nice if we could find out how we can get to them and really get a grip on these issues though...

I know Czar took back our court feedback to them this past year...

One of the guys from here was in contact with somebody from 2K about updating shoe scans and they were pretty helpful. But I guess he found out that he was reporting back to the forum and got spooked. He stopped responding.
