My guess is UFC 3 (if there is one). Thats when you can expect a significant change in striking if I was to make a guess.

Some kind of glitch it has happened to me a few times weird thing is, it always happens when i get a certain type of finish.

It basically just stops as soon as you finish them and goes straight to the end fight menu thing.

Do you think there will be?

I assume there will be whether its with EA or another company, but do you think EA will do it?

I will bet money there is a UFC 3...

Dead space 1,2,3 - Skate 1,2,3 - Army of Two 1,2,3 Etc...

So ya I bet there will be a UFC 3, it's a trend with ea games. Now after that who knows we're the franchise goes.

Early AI impressions:

Ive only fought three times so its too early to pass any judgment but I see an improved AI. Before the patch, I could take practically any lower ranked fighter and use pressure to KO the AI on any level.

So I played one fight where I had Thiago Taveras and the AI was Aldo on Pro. I used my house rules so I wasnt riding high block or using parries. I didnt fight strategically and just used constant pressure. Aldo KOd me in the first round.

So I played another fight. Same guys but on Hard level. I didnt use any house rules, did nothing but pressure and blocked like I would if I was fighting online. Aldo KO'd me in the first round

Third fight. I'm Karolina and the AI is Joanna on Hard. Same as above. Pressure and blocking. No house rules. Joanna rocks me twice in the first round but I hit her with a 3 punch combo and KO her in the first.

The AI on Pro still needs better stamina mangement and once Skynet gets back from vacation, I'm going to ask if he can add the blocking tweaks on Pro to Hard. With that said, its definitely improved.

I play realistically and have used house rules in every MMA game so I'm OK with the AI as long as it continues to improve. Now my results could be because I suck. They could be because Thiago Taveras is a poor fighter. So I'm gonna run a card tonight to really test it out.

What is it that you don't like about the striking specifically?

Personally I think they could do away with the combo multiplier, and the strike intercept that they added with the last patch could probably be tuned down a little as well. I'm not saying it should be removed, but there's a reason people are using jabs and straights more than anything else now.

Aside from that I don't have many ideas that could greatly improve the striking, though. More stopping power would be cool I guess.

I think they will do it. If you look at GPD's and Jeremy's twitter, you see them mocapping more striking and grappling moves. I doubt those animations are for UFC 2. With that said, I dont know and EA hasnt announced a new game.

It is what it is. I have a different approach with games than most. I never buy a game with the expectation that the game mechanics will be changed or improved in anyway through patches. For example, the striking isnt drastically different than what was in the beta or EA Access.

So everyone had at least 4 days to try out the game for free or for 5 bucks and get a feel for the game. After I got the game I hoped that they would improve the game (they have in some aspects) but I didnt rely on it.

I guess I'm showing my age because I'm from the generation where you bought a game and there were no patches.....you just had the game. Now with patches, I'm thankful if a game company improves the game after release. With that said, I know not everyone feels that way.

I don't think there is any doubt the game has got better with the patches.

One thing I think should be improved is matchmaking but I understand with the pool of players we have they want everyone to find games quick.

True but if you were unsure (not saying you were) you couldve rented the game, right? Here are the games that I buy without playing first or getting any feedback from the forums: NBA 2k (I love that game) and the Show (most realistic sports game around).

There isnt a single EA game that I dont play first before buying. Now I'm lucky enough to have an X1 and EA Access so I can try them all before buying. Still if I had a PS4, I would read impressions from sites like OS or rent the game from Gamefly if I was the slightest bit unsure about the game.

My point is I never expect patches to add features or animations or change game mechanics. When a game company decides to do that I'm happy but I dont expect it or rely on it.

Whaaaaaaaaaat? If I had known they would've given me a beta code I would've done that but I was under the impression that if the website told you that you were ineligible you were pretty much screwed. Ohh well.

Oh yeah, I wasn't disagreeing with you. Tbh I shouldn't have even replied really. I was just one of the unlucky ones who met all of the requirements but was still deemed ineligible for whatever reason.

I'm hoping if/when they release EA UFC 3 that they just do an open beta. I mean, if the purpose of a beta is feedback, why not go with an open beta and get as much feedback as possible? Plus there's more of a chance that players will find certain bugs or exploits that should be taken care of prior to release.

Just venting a bit. Don't mind me lol. I agree with what you're saying.

I completely agree about the open beta.

Previous patch that added live event borked my game entirely with unplayable lag. Not to be a dick, but I hope it happens to everyone so they'll actually address it. Obviously no one cares about my crying alone, heh.

But yes, I've had 15+ matches in a row that were horribly sluggish. On PS4 by the way.

Anyone else think this game is always sluggish? Like even in menus? I accidentally hit the wrong menu items constantly because it takes so long to register.

The AI is better but still has the fatal flaw of striking even though it is out of stamina. It's better on Hard than Pro but does it on both.

# 138 EarvGotti @ 06/02/16 09:36 PM
So far so good. Single leg TD from SC is dead. You have to advance in the clinch to get any real advantage. Haven't seen any lag yet. Pressure fighting is more effective now since the clinch isn't so much of a threat.

If they can slow down movement with low stamina, this game will be perfect. I think they are afraid to make any stamina changes.

Good patch. I give it 8/10

The AI is still terrible. They still don't management their stamina. The offline is completely broken. I can't believe it. I recognized that this game is unfinished. How long do I have to wait for getting normal AI??!!
