Madden NFL 17 Screenshot Featuring Under Armour and Adidas

Check out the latest Madden NFL 17 screenshot, featuring Adrian Peterson. You can see the Under Armour and Adidas cleats much better here. More equipment details are coming soon.

As Clint Oldenburg and Dustin Smith have noted on Twitter, the screenshots that are released on various outlets are a WIP and equipment will get updated before launch.

I can see this both ways, but as a franchise player I gotta say i'd rather see the mouthpieces. After 3 or 4 years into a chise you've got a bunch of rookies on your squad, and it's inevitable that two or three of the guys are going to have the same faces...the mouthpieces help differentiate the players. Its also easy to say that when the madden team has done a pretty awesome job with scans over the past two years.

Kane did you get a chance to scan the 3 bar RB facemask that Vick wore to fix the proportions and make it look as it should?

If you don't mind me asking... is it a similar hurdle with accessories on players arms/legs?

Things like the arm sleeve, forearm band, knee braces, ankle tape..etc.
Just curious why they haven't been able to be updated and done more realistically

No, mouthpieces are their own unique monster.

Knee Braces have just been low priority since you can't see them in the NFL like you can in college football.

He's stated they are actual objects that go in players mouths and they need to animate like one. It's not as simple as "gluing" a mouth piece over a players mouth

It boils down to the fact that player faces have features that move, and therefore it is A LOT harder to get this to work.

Please check the thread out, it's been mentioned several times.

It's because the players talk and move their mouths in Madden and that included with a mouthpiece doesn't work out well.

Some good info here from Kane and something to keep in mind when you see a screenshot and try to find a pic of a player with that equipment as reference

Question. Are Jordan brand cleats going to be added in the game for players like Dez Bryant, Joe Haden, Earl Thomas, rookies Ramsey and Coleman? Just to name a few players. If not, is there a chance they can be scanned in time or added in a patch for 17?

That first group is so ugly, they look like hiking boots. The second group 🔥🔥🔥. I think those are the ones Dez and Earl Thomas wear. Can't wait to see what made it in, I also hope they plan on adding more things next year and we don't have to go another 8 years with the same equipment.

Looking forward to the presentation blog, hopefully its nice and long. It will be interesting to see what all was added and or updated. I wanna know what all got scanned. Most importantly i wanna know will they continue to add new equipment. Let's hope so and we don't have to wait another console cycle for new gear.
