How so? they didn't update equipment till this yr and it still needs work... other sport game always have up to date equipment, correct placement for accessories, multiple signature animations for individual players

Yeah gotta completely disagree with you on that one, player models, equipment we've been waiting for forever, signature animations, the list goes on and on. Madden is dead last in player likeness in contrast to the other games which shall remain nameless

In M16 they released a player likeness update. This year they scanned all new equipment which was never been done in a football video game. They actually just started doing this in NBA2k16 actually. Shoes are a way bigger deal in basketball than equipment is in football. I know it was long over due but they knocked it out of the park with the Jordan's and the huge selection of cleats, gloves and other gear.

Madden has some of the best and most accurate face scans in sports games. Madden destroys most when it comes to coaches too.

We ask for specific things like the compression sleeve that goes half way up the bicep. We've been asking for it for 2 years now, and EA gives us some half azzed version of it. They just give us a full one arm sleeve.... Not acceptable. Meanwhile you have other sports games that basically have had this in their games for 5 years now, clear color options are endless in other sports games, wristbands have looked way more realistic in other games and madden wristbands look like somebody wrapped a towel around the arm. Everything they do just seems half azzed and year in and year out nothing is done to correct it or do the right way. They way it should be done. Then they give some lame excuse that they have to start from a scratch or rewrite code, bla bla bla, meanwhile other sports games get it correct. Do it right, or don't do it at all.

Lame excuse? If you haven't talked face to face with the devs you probably shouldn't say stuff like that.

I think of myself as one of the most negative posters on OS. Thing is there is a right way and a wrong way to go about it. Sure there are guys who will defend the game no matter what but there are also guys who will tear it down no matter what. The trick is to find the middle ground, except that bad things are bad and move on.

It's not about shooting any complaints down. Kane knows, man. He knowwwwwwwwwwwwws the one-arm sleeve isn't right. He's only been told a few million times in the last few weeks about it. So you jump in here essentially calling him lazy because they aren't in there is A) not telling him anything he doesn't already know and B) telling him in such a way that will make him (and others) never want to interact with you ever again.

The complaint is valid. Posting like a petulant child isn't.

If it's someone else above Kane that is not giving him enough time or not allowing him to make it correct, then that's a problem and I don't see why I can't complain about it. Don't really care if I sound like a child or it's been said a billion times. The more noise you make the more likely you'll be heard. I could be dead wrong, I have no idea what happens behind the curtains, I'm just saying, it's usually EA that has this problem. Enough said, I'm done

Exactly. It's called agenda posting. And it is against the TOS. So I hope he keeps his word and is done.

Man this pic reminds me of madden 2002, not because the graphics but I'd always play vikings vs packers at my cousins house. Good memories.

On topic these graphics are getting to the point it looks better than the actual games I see on tv.

I hear both sides. I remember when mike young was at EA . We had a conversation(text) about how the cleats had gone from black and white to team specific colors. I throughout the idea of alternating colors for different players then. His response was that was something to work on for future madden games. That was quite a few years back and we still don't have that option. Now the strides Rex has made with game changers like Kane, mPrice have made the game much better and with greater strides . Does madden impress me every year..... YES!!!! Do I feel confident it's heading to that pinnacle of true sim and accurate football.....YES!!! Should we voice are concerns about what we want negative or positive???..... Absolutely YES!!!. Bottom line is that everyone here has an impact on the game and they are def listening and taking notes.

I don't pay much attention to uniforms or equipment but for those it matters to I can understand their passion and respect their desire to have it as accurate as possible.
I very well could be missing your point but what point does that post make valid?

If anything it solidifies the fact that what we as users want may not coincide with what the NFL wants for whatever reason.

You see a post from Kane before he was a dev and how passionate he was, I'm definitely missing what you're trying to drive home here.

# 439 mrprice33 @ 06/26/16 07:45 PM
Did you notice Kane didn't use the words lazy, half a**ed, or refer to reasons why things weren't in as "blah blah" excuses?

My overreaching point was there is a post from someone that went back to working on Madden, defending the validity of wanting even the smallest detail to be right yet this poster is getting it from all angles for seemingly doing the same thing. Not to mention the irony of Kane himself being involved in the interaction, the post seemed very relevant, imo.

My intent before the poster was banned was to offer up some support that someone actually involved with equipment and such, can likely relate to how they feel but seeing as how they were banned I'd hope maybe it could offer credence to his point. I hate to see anyone seemingly demonized or labeled when others don't agree with them.
Well the poster's point wasn't what got him banned, his point is fine and valid when discussed appropriately.

The point of my poorly worded post was that we had a post from Kane before he was a dev showing how frustrated he was with the state of Madden at the time and showing his passion for equipment.

I think it's pretty clear that there is something hindering the EA dev team and it isn't passion about what they are doing.
