NBA 2K16 News Post


NBA 2K16 patch #4 is available for PlayStation 4, weighing in at 2.4GB. The same patch is scheduled to be released for PC and Xbox One very soon. Once they release, we will update this post.

UPDATE: Patch #4 is available for PC and Xbox One now.

GENERAL
  • Addressed a hang that can occur when editing/applying tattoos in Edit Player.
  • Resolved a bug where one or more users in a co-op game would lose control of their player at some point during the game.
  • Fixed a disconnect issue that some users were seeing during online games.
  • (PC) Fixed a corruption issue where some users were experiencing hangs, missing art assets, and infinite loads. Please ensure that your virus scanning software (e.g. Avast) whitelists your Steam folder/directory. This is required for new content to properly download and install.
  • Closed a loophole where the pause timer would stop counting down when sitting in the ‘Report Image’ flow.
  • Improved the user interface when applying contracts to players in MyTEAM by removing the display of how many contracts the player would have IF the current card was applied.
  • Fixed a case where the user accepting an online invite would sometimes skip the position selection screen in the way into matchmaking.
  • Headwear should now properly unequip when attempting to do so from within the MyPARK Apparel section of the store.
  • The player portrait will now update when a new user is signed in on the main menu via the account picker.
  • A number of other optimizations and enhancements have been made to improve the user experience.
GAMEPLAY
  • Teammate free throw celebration/interaction behaviors have been corrected.
  • Slightly tuned down the frequency of ball collisions.
  • Fixed an issue that led to a temporary loss of user control on possession changes while in the 2K Cam.
  • Tuned down the frequency of missed alley-oop and putback dunks when open.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed high rated post players to shoot post fadeaway 3's at a high percentage.
MyCAREER/MyPARK/MyCOURT
  • Fixed a rare issue where the game would hang when Doris Burke interviews your MyPLAYER at the end of the first half and/or at the end of the game.
  • The correct records and rep levels will now be shown for the players on the MyPARK loading screen.
  • Corrected the wall and floor art for the San Antonio Spurs theme in MyCOURT.
  • Fixed a case where some purchased shoes were not properly appearing on the shoe racks in MyCOURT.
MyGM/MyLEAGUE
  • Resolved a hang that could occur many, many years into MyGM when entering the offseason.
  • Generated players will now wear the correct color socks for away games.
  • Fixed an issue where generated players were getting their free throw animations randomized every offseason.
  • The Strengths/Weaknesses screen in Team Comparison should now be functioning properly once again.
NOTE: All patch fixes will work in your existing game mode saves (unless specifically noted otherwise).

Question, does every one pretty much play with full play art on?
I only play with full play art. I can't remember everything lol.

But sometimes I get stuck trying to run the play instead of finding someone who was left open or taking advantage of a mismatch.

Thanks fellas, was just wondering. I really like the freelance offense options but there are a couple of pet plays I like to run....I should probably just get in play practice and get them down...

How clueless are you? Again you totally ignored the fact that Dwight isn't a good FT shoot but drains a not perfect release but James Harden misses 2 in a row. Those calculations don't add up to me.

You don't need perfect releases to make FT's and anyone who plays knows that. You seriously just want to be a dick head. There was no lag so I should've made them according to the percentages and shot meter.

I know the offense from playing practice mode ... And I Mosley let the CPU call my plays on auto... Or click smart play if we haven't scored in the last 2-3 possessions .. After 4-5 scoreless possession I'll select a play I believe will work against the defense.. Plus the extra arrows and dashes for passing just takes away from the realism in going for.

Don't care at this point. Any FTs outside of a excellent release is not guaranteed to go in. That's your problem. You don't understand the game mechanics. In your mind, Harden was suppose to hit the FTs because Howard hit his and Harden is a better FT shooter. In my mind, you didn't get an excellent release, so you got the result of whatever random dice roll that happened within the programming based on whatever factors.

Now, you get either accept that you got some bad rolls at an inopportune time, or you can continue blaming 2K Sports by saying that the game "cheated" you.

There is no bad dice roll, the numbers are the numbers. You made a late FT with Monta in you newly posted video but you're telling me I shouldn't make slightly early release because some random dice roll?

I remember trying to play on auto with no play art at all....it was a disaster. Guys standing in random positions waiting on me to get to the right spot. Guess I can't have my cake and eat it too....until I get them memorized that is, lol

Anyone else think 2k ruined the alley oop. I had to completely change my playstyle and myteam because of the absurd lack of making an opp. Yes a person shouldn't rely on just oops but when your on a two on one beak and don't want the ball stolen on a bounce pass, the oop is a must. 2k said they fixed it but I would say for every ten oops 7 don't connect. Yes getting new gauntlet boards and challenges are big but If they can't fix this then we're screwed

Yes, I did. However, I could have missed it, and I would have been "Oh well." since it wasn't an excellent release to begin with. I don't expect slightly late/early releases to go in. If they do, they do. If they don't, it's not the end of the world for me.

Sutton | Versatile.. Can y'all drop it man lol. We have heard both sides... You missed the ft with a good shooter with a release close to the white line at the wrong time... You did all you can do man....

I don't really want to go back and forth arguing w/ you because it seems like your mind is made up. But I will just give my 2 cents.

I don't think you can really compare both of those. Yes D12 is worse at the line, but he just happened to make his. I also can't really say you choked completely because Harden does have a 80+ rating at the line and usually the meter being that close at least one would have went in. But unfortunately it just didn't bro. Like KSutton said, it's best to get perfect releases to avoid the problem so that's why I put it slightly on you as well. When you don't hit perfect, it's still a possibility you could miss.

i'm having fun with that in myleague offline. those fastbreaks with ross and derozan, perfect. i do have that stolen once a while but made them most of the time.

besides, missing fts happen irl. the orlando magic might have won the series against the rockets if nick anderson made ONE of that 4 free throws. i wondered how he recovered from that after the loss. take it easy, just a video game.

I play on lite hopefully in 2 months if i keep playing with the same team i'll be able to switch to none. [emoji106]🏻

I can run plays with zero play art but then my freelance offense suffers. Thanks DaCzar for making it so dam complex but dam man, tell your crew we need one of those aftermarket guides for video games they use to sell back in the days that taught you everything in a thick *** magazine style

Played a good variety of teams, and whether it was ACE or roster updates seems like the CPU is playing a lot better pace wise. Initiating offense a lot more. Whatever Patch #4 did originally, some teams were going out of their minds after a miss...

It's whatever man, if that happened to any of y'all, you'd be pissed too. Unless it's happening to you it's just a game or its your fault. Make FT's all game and your telling me when I need 2 I suddenly miss because it wasn't a perfect release. I didn't have a perfect release from anywhere that game but yet I was winning the game.
