the pace is great i like seeing the slower motion moves like suplexes, drop kicks, where they dont look like they are moving 100 mph or like they pop up super fast like nothing happened, i mean it still kinda does that sometimes,
i will say there has been some head scratching moments but not alot, like a ladder match in which ryback was up on the ladder pulling on the belt, big show looked at him for like 5 seconds before trying to go up the ladder and then right when he got to the top ryback pulled the belt off, i was like huh ahha,
there is alil glitch in the chamber matches, guys will start wigging out and then next thing i know they are like moving through stuff,
and last but not lest.. the royal rumble still sucks, sorry just my opinion, when usually the winner is one of the last 5 guys to come in its no surprise, and the eliminations in it sucks there is basically 2 styles of eliminations that i see while watching, hardly ever does someone just get thrown up over the ropes out onto the floor without first landing on the apron and then having to be pushed/kicked or hit off the apron,
and they go for eliminations way to often, but it is what it is,
SOO wait, how come in universe mode there is no storylines like cut scenes, or promos, or run ins by rival members, jw, i know all that happens on career mode
I really enjoy this game a lot, but this has to be the most glitch-filled game this generation. I play a lot with my friends online and this is especially true there. There's a lot of unintentional comedy, if nothing else, so at least I'm having a good time lol.
And something has to be done about the targeting system. It only seems to work when it feels like it and half the time I don't even know who I'm looking at in the ring. When I click in the stick it should move to the next person. This shouldn't be so difficult.
Not sure if this is a glitch but I had a match where I was Piper against the cpu who was Mr. Perfect. I threw Mr. Perfect to the outside & then down the entrance walkway, he then decided to walk towards the back resulting in a countout win for me. Did he decide he'd had enough or a glitch?
Oh yeah, If any of you have friends that play the game and want to run some 3-on-3 matches, just let me know. Online is a ghost town for anything other than 1-on-1, and even those aren't very populated.

That's unfortunate. If this got NBA2K polish, we'd really have something special here.
I got this for Christmas, and I'm absolutely loving it. The little additions to the gameplay (like rest holds) really make it pop, the roster is great, and the creation tools are pretty cool. I was warned about the submissions, but I honestly don't think it's nearly as bad as people say -- there was a sharp learning curve at first, but I figured it out quickly.
I played a lot of the older WWE games and had a ton of fun with them. The newer one's to me seem like the controls kind of suck now and are not as user friendly. I have not played this 1 yet but i am looking to buy it just don't wanna get more of the same. Any insight on the controls and how easy they are to use?
It's just like every wrestling game, you have a punch/kick button and grapple. RS flips over and picks up people. Triangle is signature and finisher. R2 is reversal.
Ya i was talking more about the grappling aspect of it. The games i played back in the day were easier to play with made the game move fast that was more of what i am looking for. I cannot remember the one i liked the best i think it was Smackdown VS Raw 2010 was the game i liked the most. I was wondering if they switched up the controls again bcuz they had switched up the grappling buttons a few versions ago and now they have moved the game to 2K so was wondering the difference. I liked the older version bcuz the gameplay was so fast what is it like in the new 1?

Not a glitch, its a trait that was given to some heels in the game.

Yeah, I've seen this several times. It makes more sense in the Universe Rivalry situation where a scene plays with the heel making an "ah, hell with this" gesture right before leaving the ring.
in your cpu vs cpu matches do you ever have matches that end on one finisher on normal or slow speed?
Rarely. The reason I think first finishers end matches more often on fast is because CPU will often choose to use an OMG with it's first finisher icon instead of its finisher. I'm not sure why it does that, but my best guess would be because on fast the victim isn't low enough on health for the CPU to consider using a actual finisher - they're in yellow most of the time. Of course the power of an OMG is every bit as strong as finishers, so when they hit one they're in prime position to use their second finisher icon as an actual finisher and win the match. On normal and hard, a wrestler is often worn down enough by the time a finisher icon drops that the CPU will think it can win the match with that one move, and it usually doesn't.
This is assuming Resilliency is not in the equation. If it is, that "free" kickout will often mean somebody's kicking out of a finisher regardless of how much damage has been done to them. Maybe you'll get lucky and see it burnt on a signature move (which can also end matches if someone's worn down), but it'll usually be used on a finisher.
That's my take on it - it's the only way I can justify why Fast sees matches end on first finishers more often.
Still driving me nuts that half the time I hit the grapple button it goes into a submission even though I didn't hold down the button, just tapped it.
Finally went on and downloaded some creations. Wow! People are really taking advantage of the face pic options. I found a CM Punk that looks better than he would have had 2k made him.
I just downloaded the wcw nitro arena off community creactions, but I don't see it on the arena list in exibition,
How do I make it pop up so I can watch it?
You need to go into Create-A-Show and make a show that uses the arena.
I was playing the Stone Cold career earlier and got to the Royal Rumble match. No matter how many times I pressed L3, it wouldn't shift focus. It made it impossible to complete some of the requirements. Anyone else encounter this?

Man, every since I've changed my ways of playing this game, from trying to win every match, to putting on great matches, with great spots. It's become even more enjoyable. I use my player for trying to win out right, and my Universe to become a great Booker and match creater.
