Today Electronic Arts Inc. launched NBA LIVE 16 on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStationŽ4 computer entertainment system. NBA LIVE 16 highlights the brand-new LIVE PRO-AM mode, as well as the new LIVE Motion physics system. Players can express themselves both on and off the court with new gameplay mechanics, fresh gear and kicks, plus new ways to play.

LIVE PRO-AM provides players the chance to rise together with online team-play mode LIVE Run and the new cooperative Summer Circuit mode. In LIVE Run up to 10 players can compete in online games to 21 points on iconic courts like Rucker Park, Venice Beach, Terminal 23 and more. Summer Circuit allows up to five players to travel around North America challenging all-star teams as they try to become the true kings of the court. Those who have played the NBA LIVE 16 demo on Xbox One or PS4 will be able to carry over created player progress and unlocked gear, getting a leg up on the competition.

Players can find the perfect gear to express their personality, with hundreds of shirts, shoes, sneakers, and more available from top brands. Players can also get themselves in the game with the official NBA LIVE Companion (available on the App Store and Google Play) featuring GameFaceHD. This exclusive mobile scanning technology allows fans to quickly and easily scan their face and upload it to their in-game character.

Created characters can also be used in Rising Star career mode (retaining all progression across modes), and aspiring GMs can try their hand at running a NBA franchise in Dynasty mode. Players looking to build an unbeatable crew of both modern stars and past greats can jump into LIVE Ultimate Team, and those hoping to either relive or rewrite history can check out LIVE Rewind and Big Moments. Newcomers or players looking to build their skill base can jump into Learn LIVE, with multiple options for drills and practice sessions.

Fans will also be treated to enhanced gameplay in NBA LIVE 16 thanks to the new LIVE Motion physics system. Players move with purpose and react intelligently to try and get open with cuts and off-ball screens. Plus, new mechanics like touch passing and dribble handoffs make it easier than ever to orchestrate the offense and make the big play. In addition to all these features, new shot mechanics, shot meter and feedback give players instant information to help them learn exactly when to release the ball. With the variety of modes, options and gameplay upgrades, there’s something in NBA LIVE 16 for everyone.

That's what Sean O'Brien said, guess they reneged and turned the demo off gunning for sales at this point with a "no demo, buy now" campaign. Im just guessing, prolly an issue with it. It wanted me to redownload the game. did this happen to you CC7?

How come nobody ever mentions the fact that against the cpu you will ALWAYS win the tipoff........You literally can just slam on Y and you will win the tip off every time.......Please fix this in a patch

Difference between retail w/ patch vs the demo is night and day. I'm seeing more mid-range jumpers from the cpu. Better rebounding. More collision in the paint. This game is a BLAST to play. I haven't had this much fun since Live 2005 on my old PS3. I'm glad I didn't fall for the hype and stick it out w/ Live 16.

I just had a triple-overtime thriller thriller, me (Spurs) vs Denver. The crowd/arena atmosphere is second to none. My chest was pounding and I was sweating late in the ball game. Felt like I was out there playing. The controls are tight and very responsive.

Also graphics-wise, this is the best looking NBA game ever.

I'm so happy that I chose Live 16 as my go-to NBA game this year. I'm hoping that the next patch will continue to build off this latest update and new content is added (ie D'Angelo Russell still doesn't look like him).

Props to the EA Live 16 team. The last 2 years (Live 14 and Live 15) were a travesty but this years version is great.

Man I was gunna hold out buying live for a bit(I'm a little broke at the moment haha) but these impressions really make me want to pick it up. I really enjoyed the demo, I just couldn't value the game at $60 this year after paying $60 for the past 2 years. If I keep hearing more good impressions about the retail version I might have to pull a few strings to get it.

Ps+ automatically saves files to the cloud. I would check and hope you can find it there.

The game is much improved from the demo, thank goodness that sweeping layup has been toned down. NOBODY does that man, lol

I am glad that the AI on Superstar is actually giving a challenge...I probably went 30+-0 against the CPU last year...but I don't see that happening this year...the Warriors are especially hard to beat. With a challenge comes some "cheese" tactics by the CPU which is expected. If they don't have anything on a possession, a lot of time they'll dump it down to whoever and do a uninterruptible move or hook for an easy bucket. All in all a lot better than last year though. I am seeing some varied offense between teams so far.

This leads me into some issues I am still having:

Paint defense is still rough...I think this game is a lot more fun HUM vs. HUM so unless I'm having a couch battle sliders aren't an option here. Its a mess online though...just way too easy to get into the paint for an easy bucket.

Bigs are still driving to the basket with guard speed. Players are quick on NBA LIVE. So I sag my big to the paint of the floor in anticipation of a drive....way too often guys like Robin Lopez can make mad dashes from the 3 point line to the paint.

It's not a bad game. It really isn't.

Spacing..good, Tempo..good. Controls..nice and simple to get a hang of, and the teams are not clones of each other in their freelance sets. There's more individualized execution than I expected.

Shot making is too generous though..and it is a damn parade to the paint. That needs tuning as soon as it can be tuned. Passing..the ball at times just ROCKETS to it's target. Really weird. Fewer animation borks, especially in contact foul situations.

Viewing this game from the perspective of actually playing the ghastly '14...the moderately improved '15..they are doing the right things.

Throw in the ProAm Mode, and the game is good enough to stick around the rotation

I have to come on here and say I was wrong about this game. From the day I received my retail copy until this game is like night and day. It has changed dramatically. I can say I thank the good Lord that no one purchased my game of Craigslist.

Whatever EA did with there tweaks/updates has made this game a competitor. To the guys/gals who worked on this title I give kudos to you. It may not have a lot of the bells and whistles but it plays a damn good game of ball.

WTF thanks for keeping us in the loop about this game.

It's a solid game....

Still has some warps but less warps than what we saw in demo if that means anything.

I'm still not happy with lack of editing and Franchise mode where I can't play any game I want to play

Been fooling around with sliders on the 3 different levels trying to decide which level i'm going to roll with this year.

Last year I waited til Black Friday to pick it up (X-Mas gift) this year although reluctant I did get it on release day.

So they (EA) made enough progress from Live 15 to 16 to get my attention again after about 4-5 years of frustration I had with the series.

The mid range game is there now. I can list others but those things stood out. I was playing vs the Cavs and LBJ was LBJ. If I had of not quit he would of had a triple double against me. Love was shooting 3's and mid range game. Just a really solid balance that I saw and again no goofy stuff like before the updates

No impression from me as I don't have the game...but, I do have a question? I'm guessing I'm in the minority, but graphics wise, (I've only played the demo) I don't see a great looking game...some player faces are very weird looking, even LBJ looks not right. The jerseys don't fit properly, and the overall game looks kinda like a cartoon in motion rather than a video game. Just my opinion, but, on a scale from 1-10, where you all put the graphics? I just don't see it...

Graphics are awesome... Overall stadium graphics, courts, shoes, etc I'll give a 10. Players graphics are where it's different. In zoomed in, player graphic 9-10 easily, when out of zoomed and not cut scene, 6-7 at best IMO. That has been my issue with live for yrs now!

Gonna pick it up either today or tomorrow as I did buy 14 and 15 and like the Ultimate Team. Just too lazy to run out and go get it.

Nba live 16 isnt horrible but still one thing that messes up the game is the feel it doesnt have that realistic flow to it and the moment is better from the previous years but still has a little of the cardboard box movement..They on the right track tho but they need to get the players/amimations looser/more realistic...Other then that this is a better live 16....

My Files didn't get Corrupted. I have been a 2k Freak and I have 2k and I can honestly say I am having for fun this year playing this game than 2k. I don't know if it is just because its something new because 2K is essentially a copy and paste with tweaks but I love the in air collisions on this game I love how in this game my guys don't feel stuck like they do in 2K at times. I think the fluidity of the game is great. I don't know how anyone else feels but thats just my take.

this is difficult to answer without mentioning another game

But what i feel EAsports always nails is the color palette and lighting of the stadiums

this year though they really stepped it up with faces and overall body types as well.

the main issue is some issues witht eh way the necks are too wide comparatively to the width of the shoulders. and then the way the kerseys are tucked in but that is due to the way NBA Live handles the torso.

in PES2016 you can edit that stuff as well as the other game but its really about how the jerseys are tucked that make it look a bit off.

continued plays of the game and things do start to blur and you dont notice and this year the blur is Good

meaning prolonged play helps you get used to it.

I think one of the reasons why the game never Really looks that realistic or even spot on right from the jump at launch is because the dev team probably doesnt get ppl outside of their camp to look at it

say what you want about community events but ive been to them and they were mad at me when i started playing with sliders 30 minutes into previewing their games...

What im trying to get at is they need proper quality control of such things so that when the community gets the game its already been dealt with

But on a scale of 1 to ten?

Lets say this.

It finally looks next gen or current gen or whatever you wanna call this console period.
