NBA 2K16 News Post

Check out the NBA 2K16 player ratings for the top players on each team. This includes player ratings for the classic teams, but not the Euro teams.

NOTE: There will be a roster update when the game is released. Beds will tweet and has continued to post accurate ratings based off of that updated roster on his Twitter feed, so they are more accurate.

The Atlanta Hawks and classic 1995 Orlando Magic were missing from the video, but here they are below.

Is there no Rasheed Wallace?

Edit: Nevermind, I see it was already mentioned in another thread.

Dampens any desire to play with the 99-00 Blazers or championship Pistons somewhat.....hell without 'Sheed, there's no way the Pistons win that title.

If not, may as well as left his teams out.

Letter to 2K: If you can't get the top 10 to commit, leave the team out.

I don't know how I feel about them taking out the old school Magics, I used to play with Penny a lot whenever I ran teamup.

The Pistons team is still nice to me for Billups, Wallace and Rip. However the Blazers team really is completely unnecessary now.

Most of the ratings seem solid with the exception of Dumars over Isiah.. It is kinda weird seeing Jordan at his best only an 98 and 97 during the first three peat. Also I think they underrated the 12-13 Lebron.. 96 seems a little low.. And Hakeem seems underrated at a 93 as well, but I guess I have to see their individual ratings. Thought Wade's ratings were actually on-point.. 93 for 05-06 and 90 for 12-13 seem fair.

I hate to be that guy... but Utah's defensive ratings might be severely underrated.

Top scoring defense in the league and not a single player earns anything higher than a B+ for either interior or perimeter defense.

Also, it's worth noting that Hayward, Favors, and Gobert all had PERs of 20 or higher last season. Maybe I'm making a big deal out of nothing and Utah will start the season 6-20 or something lol.

Where is Rodney Hood by the way? Was his post-break surge when he finally got healthy not enough to get him above that 69-72 range? Or his excellent summer league performance?

They had the slowest pace in the league, that doesn't make them a great defensive team.

Does that matter? Memphis has a slow pace, are they not a great defensive team?

Or do you have to run up and down the court to be a great defensive team?

They were 14th in points allowed per possession last season (though, they were better after the all star break).

Before the break, Trey Burke and Enes Kanter were both in the starting lineup. Those are two of the worst defenders for their position in the league.

I don't know, though. I'll just wait and see how they update the rosters when the season unfolds. Out of the box rosters usually stink nowadays anyway.

It sucks the Pistons are missing all those guys (Corliss Williamson, Mike James, and Mehmet Okur were all crucial as well) but I'll take 2K doing a fair bit of the groundwork. Hopefully the 2004 Pistons court art is on point.

I look at it this way, I usually try to make the 2004 Pistons on my own anyway and I usually have to end up creating most of the players on board. This time around, at least we get a head start on some of the tougher ones (i.e. Ben Wallace and Richard Hamilton).

Scrolled through twice and was unable to find ATL player ratings, it did show the new ATL Basketball Club logo when Memphis ratings popped up however.

It was from the stream, the guy was switching very fast, so these were the only pics possible.

Anybody else notice Anthony Davis had Paul George's picture?! And Cousins with Melo's pic.

And in other news...Another 2k holdout Eric Snow is in the game now, on the 06-07 Cavs, 00-01 Sixers, and (I assume) the 95-96 Sonics.
