Game is really good, but there's some things that are bothering me. I'm not sure if it's me but it looks like the keepers at times when diving to save the ball are in slow motion, which what was happening last year.
AI crosses the ball more, but I feel like it can do it a little more often. I've seen at times where there's two defenders and the AI decides to take them on, rather than crossing it into the box where teammates are at.
The shooting is good on the human side, but from what I've seen the AI isn't taking long powerful shots, and even when they are in front of goal there isn't much power put on the shots...just very weak and so many are low on the ground, not up into the corners.
I really want Konami to do good with this game, but these small things need to be corrected. Hoping down the road they can patch these things.

Hello. First time poster here. Just one quick observation re league/master league/cup settings: It seems we are unable to choose day or night matches which actually is beginning to bother me somewhat. First, it doesn't seem realistic that all such games are played at night and second, I personally prefer to play with day-time settings as the graphics seem more fluid and realistic to me.
Does anyone know whether this was an issue in PES 2015 and/or whether this is gonna change in a later patch?

I actually prefer the night games because the shadows in certain stadiums drive me crazy

Last year I had FIFA and it has stadiums that are the same way. A simple toggle option would be nice. Might not be 'realisitc', but i'd never have the stupid shadows there if I had a choice.

Is it me or the rosters are still horrible. I play with Lazio and Matri is still in ac milan lorik caņa is still on lazio and should be on Nantes. I also saw chicharito still on Man united. I didn't keep looking for other players but I'm sure is a disaster. Can someone confirm
yes - none of the deadline day deals are included. apparently 2 months isn't enough time to get that done.
After playing many, many games, I sadly have to say I believe PES has a long way to go. I love the series, and wanted to give it another go after 15, but its been tough.
So many issues that need addressing - the ball looks unrealistic, keepers floating jumps, low foul count, shooting from certain angles is a guarantee goal .. and yet others, like ball reception, is one that is driving me nuts. These guys are professional soccer players, any pass thats a tad harder than avg sends these guys with a huge bouncing ball they have to trap. Unless theres an expert way to trap I'm not in the know of.
So many animations look stupid, or there arent enough animations for a certain action. Ive read some ppl on these forums saying PES is so much smoother, but it feels so bulky and clunky to me. I love PES, and dont get me wrong, will keep playing, and hope to see improvements over the years, but my god, the animations are brutal.
Things like two players come in contact and it looks like one player loses interest or is unsure of what to do, and just stands there Defence that look very good, but then make such a bad move that its not due to ratings, its just poor coding and looks like they dont wish to play any more.
Sometimes this game looks amazing, but so many other times it looks years old.

I just played a game against Chelsea as Arsenal and lost 9-0 lol. I love PES and this game is light years ahead of FIFA but the goal keeping is just driving me nuts. Seemingly every time the computer shoots they score. is there a way to control your keeper or any tweaks that could help? Crazy.

What level was this on? I got smoked 8-1 by Chelsea, I was Man Utd on WC about a month after I got 2016 (played 2015 PES as well) on full manual settings.
I can't play manual passing on WC level against any of the top EPL teams. Scores of 8-1 (Chelsea), 5-0 (Man City), 4-1 (Liverpool), 5-0 (Arsenal). My defence needs a little work and obviously passing but I find it better and more enjoyable to play WC against all other teams then Pro against top teams to have a chance with pass assist 1. Helps me to have fun and still be challenged. This is in Master League as the bar seems to be raised here compared to exhibition games.
I have done lots of testing in exhibition mode (about 70 games) and ML is another level.
Played the game a bit more. Couple things that bother me with it.
1. The keepers are bad. They don't seem capable of stopping little dinky shots, this needs to be fixed.
2. There's also not enough crossing from the AI. Too many times they'll try to dribble the ball towards the goal from the outside. I see crosses here and there, but not many.
3. Not enough long shots taken. The AI seems to want to dribble as close as possible to the goal to take a shot, and I saw maybe a couple long range shots. When they are taking shots, I don't see many into the upper corners at all, they always seem to be low shots.
4. Oh .....fouls...where are they? I've gone games where there has been 1 foul called...or none.
This game has the potential to be so much better, but these things just bother me cause they do ruin the game play.

just started playing. if this game properly called fouls, it would be pretty nice. i am sure i will see some warts as i go along but some aspects are very good.
decided to start on professional for a few games since i have never played the xbox one version. i usually play superstar on ps3.
the build up is really nice. so far so good except the fouls. but i think that will grate on me pretty quick.

its so funny. i am enjoying the game, but do miss the fouls. i did get two fouls relatively close the last game called on the opponent. maybe the patch did a little. i have been getting one a game on each side lately.
started playing fifa and it doesnt call a lot of fouls either so its a pick your poison year.
i may go back to the cpu version of pes 2015. at least there were fouls. but both this years xbox one games have some moments of awesomeness.
if there are fouls in next years pes with this years game play, it will be a great game.

I am actually in this forum consdiering getting this game, because the play in Fifa 16 was so bad after messing with it for literally hours I've given up.
But looking at other sports games - almost always takes some adjusting.

I have really enjoyed playing PES the last few months. I am new, not only to PES but, to soccer as a whole. 2+ months ago I did not know what a CF, CB or DMF was. That being said, you can take the following with a grain of salt.
PES seems to be fairly dead in the US, I've not found too many stateside friendlies. I've since jumped to playing the UK version. It is here I discovered FUMA.
I enjoyed the heck out of FUMA as I struggled to understand soccer as a whole. Everything was foreign to me in the beginning. The tactics and formations blew my mind and the game play was exciting even though it looked like a bunch of dudes running all over the place because it didn't make much sense to me.
Finally it clicked. I understood what my club was doing on the pitch, who was making runs, why they were making runs, who I needed to use on defense, what an inverted winger was, etc etc. It was then that I realized how broken the game is, especially from a defensive POV.
I really enjoy being a "Fuma" player and the elite status Fuma players give themselves. I enjoyed the passes and shots on goal I could produce. I loved working on my "style". I wanted to be a dribbler using a few skill moves to open up lanes to pass through. I wanted buildup from the back and to work my way up to a Messi type goal with a 2* team.
I wanted to show my progress off so I continued to play in a few Fuma leagues only to continue to struggle against specific players. It was then that I realized that this isn't Fuma. It's like OfMa or something. All the manual players were running manual offenses and using X, [] and [] [] to run defense. Where's my space? Why do I have 3 guys crashing into me with no where to pass to? Where is the penalty for disrupting the defensive formation?
While I still think Pes is a great game and one I really enjoy I wish I could go back in time 2 months and enjoy my ignorance once again. Again, I'm the new kid on the block so take what I say with a grain of salt. I am Texan, grew up on Texas football and baseball. I'm a very defense minded person. So, I was really bothered by the fact that no matter what I did on defense it didn't really matter. Playing against fuma players the only difference, IMO, was they would be more prone to turn the ball over due to a bad passing/shooting angle. If they did, I could expect some, not all, to promptly hit [] [] X and bum rush me like like a 3v1 wrestling match. If I played sound defense and "parked the bus" as they say, I would sit and wait for the full power pass or shot to smack my player in the face and see if he or I come out of the scrum with the ball. If I had a good keeper I could expect the same. Pass, Pass, OP shot, smack the keeper in the face, free for all for the ball assuming everyone had [] [] X pressed. Where is the fun in that?
Currently there are a few guys I plan on sticking with to play friendlies. They have a "style" and play of what they consider real football. Some are dribblers, some are passers, some are both but they all play full manual and control 1 player on defense so ball winning becomes a more skillful battle IMO.
Anyways, these are just my experiences. At the end of the day it's a game and everyone should play the game however they enjoy. I have grown to enjoy the game of soccer and I try to play PES the way I see Soccer being played and being taught to my son. I won't speak on how it plays vs Fifa as I've not given Fifa a fair shot. All I know is that with self imposed restrictions, or house rules if you will, I am able to play an enjoyable game of soccer with a handful of fellow PESers online who see the game in the same light as I do.
If you find yourself online looking for a friendly with someone who isn't going to button smash, trip you or super cancel slide every time you make a run for the goal feel free to hit me up.
