So hiccups don't happen in real games? People don't get caught ball-watching or lacking concentration? Yes, the CPU AI should've done better, but it's one play. I play all the time and don't see things pop up like that too often. I can live with it happening sporadically.

The CPU AI wasn't perfect there, for sure, but neither was the gamer's decision-making. You **** up, you might give up a goal. That's soccer.

Played 20 minute game vs Groningen. I had 6 fouls to their 5. Scored off a fk (for the first time) won 2-0. Hell of a game. CPU missed 2 shots inside the box.

The problem with defending is more than a hiccup for sure. PES 2016 defensive AI has issues just like FIFA 15's, and it's leading to easy goals.

The defensive AI is really, really bad at times.

Liverpool was the user-controlled team playing against the CPU.

Forgive me, but comparing the AI in PES to FIFA 15 is a stretch.

You guys. It is so obviously human vs human. I can tell this by just watching, then I listened and right at the start for the video he says "we are playing -1 game speed" As in two people. As for that play with my fluid formation settings the center mid would have been behind the ball at that point. As for Rose not coming in that is an AI error, whether on purpose or not I can't tell. This maybe because the width of the team is set high in the settings or just an AI error. The covering is all the human players fault and cannot be attributed to the AI at ALL. Either The formation is not setup to have the center mid come back or in tactics they are set to few on defense so the mids don't come back. It is all what you tell the AI to do. I know we like being critical but with all these games we are just trying to rework them to fit with how we want to play. No reason to get overly angry at each other. Alot does come down to opinion. But again that is what I am seeing in that video.

I don't think so. It's not quite as bad but has some of the same issues that leads to similar results - easy goals. It's gotta be one of the main reasons why so many people are complaining that it's so arcade-like.

TrueBrits has been playing against the CPU on Superstar in all of his videos so far this year, so it's definitely against the CPU. He's gearing up to start ML. Saying "we" to describe the team he is controlling is just his way with language. I can't speak on whether he had fluid formations assigned to Tottenham, so maybe that would have helped.

I will try out your settings when I get a chance to play more, thanks.

What settings do you play on (game speed, level of difficulty, etc)? Thanks.

I finally held a really good club (Barca) in check on Top Player and I am a guy who struggles on Regular at times [emoji12]. Barca had 18 shots on goal, but only 10 on target...finally! Ended up in a 2-2 draw with me using Real Madrid.

I'm finally figuring out how to play some defense in this game. In PES14 and 15, I used to get owned on a regular basis by the CPU.

Despite lack of licenses do commentators still say the names of premier league players?

And can someone explain what master league is exactly? Is it like FIFA career mode?

On the fence about which one to go for this year.

Yes they say the players and will say the team names if you change them in Edit.
Team names is dead easy to do its a little frustrating if the team name isnt in the data base tho but its not many who dont.

Yes ML is their version of career mode.

Do they have Dortmund in the game yet or is it still exclusive to EA?

they don't say any team names in mine. I tried changing the city but not every team is in there.

The issue with ai defense is a game breaker for me. It just seems its too easy to beat the cpu off the dribble and then run into the box unchallenged. If it wasn't for this issue, would be a great game.
