The things I liked...

1) Players faces overall looked really good. Stadiums looked good also.

2) The sound was good also. I've never played Live on surround sound and I must say, it was nice.

3) The dribble hand off is really nice.

4) Foot planting is really good. I didn't notice hardly if any sliding.

What I don't like...

1) The player models. I'm no feeling the player models at all. The body types seem off. Also Live's model have this weird posture going on. Like their back and knees are bent funny. Even when players walk, it doesn't look human.

2) Movements/animations. The movement needs work. Players move really slow. Animations are terrible overall. Let's start off with the speed dribble. It looks terrible and doesn't look human. Just little things like how the players run up and down the court, just looks off. Crossovers and dribble moves don't look great either.

Post play and shots around the basket look like Live is still using animations from the PS2. Jump hooks look terrible. And layups look really bad. Basically movement and animations don't resemble the grace of NBA players. They need to work on transitions in animations and overhaul their player movement/animations period. This is 2015 man!!!!

3) Commentary. Although I like the sound of the crowd and how the overall sound comes through my speakers were nice, the commentary is really weak. Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy sounds dry. They don't feed off each other well. There is not enough dialogue during gameplay. And Mike Breen's call of the game is really generic.

The halftime report I'm not a fan of either. Jalen Rose sounds so robotic? He was the wrong guy to get to do halftime, because he sounds robotic in real life. And it's worse in the game. Just terrible. I also don't like their replays. I guess because the animations just flat out sucks.

4) The controls. Very limited. Not a fan of the control layout. Still need to get familiar with playing Live again, so I won't be too critical.

The game I played felt a bit scripted but that was ok with me. I played up until the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter (Cavs vs Thunder). I was uninspired so I gave the controller to my 14 year old son and left the room. A few minutes later he comes to me and say's "dad I hit a game winner with Westbrook". I'm like "cool go ahead a play some more if you want". He says to me "nah I don't won't to play that garbage". Gotta admit, it was hilarious.

Anyway...I'll try to get into it more this weekend and play pro-am tonight. This game isn't worth $60 though. They have a long way to go. A LONG WAY!!! With an alternative basketball option, I won't be purchasing the game. I appreciate EA giving us a robust demo though. LOL
Great input

Hey can you or someone please tell me how to turn off that defense indicator on who you're supposed to be guarding? That's a real distraction for me and I've yet to figure out how to turn it off.

In the handful of attempts I had earlier, I was disconnected from all of them.

It's cost me some games already...
What I see a lot of the time is my cpu teammates completely blow assignments and they sometimes refuse to grab a loose ball or rebound.

I've also still yet to run an actual fast break. The CPU can though. Whenever I try to outlet to my PG after a rebound he comes top a stop to catch the ball (even if he is running). It ruins the break every time. I find my teammates don't run the court either but rather jog.

It's just frustrating because theyve definitely improved the game in certain areas, but have seemingly neglected some core fundamentals such as rebounding and passing.

I dont like it but it is way better than NBA Live 15 for sure.

Pro am is fun . There's a bit of delayed or sluggish reactions and rebounding is tuff but it's fun. Just wish the face scan thing would work

I think I just ran into the same dribbling center from the video....anyone know his screen name?

Lost 21-16....ALL dunks

As the a competitor fan boy and former Live fanboy, I am excited to come back to check out NBA Live..i have seen the videos and see the impressions..

I know what to expect..I expect a game to play while I wait for the competitor on the 25th...

EA Sports games are like the pretty girl in class that have great potential to be a good person but they just never reach. Their games are always very nice looking, just the content isn't in depth. Its okay though, they help push out better games.

Its kind of funny how things are, 2K had ESPN years back now its NBA Live..soon will it be ESPN LIVE 17?

Once my Xbox One touches down, firing up the demo.

I played a couple games last night. I think it'll take me a while to get used to. I played a few games of 2k last month and the controls, movement, and style are totally different. I assume once I put some hours on the sticks I'll really enjoy it like I did with 15.

Some good things - I really like how players come off screens and get their feet set for a shot. It's nice having intelligent movement off the ball. I like the concept of the Summer Circuit so far as well. It's fun to play quick co-op games and have objectives. Also, I feel like fouls are called intuitively. While I'm sure there is an element of randomness, I feel like when I foul someone I usually deserve it.

Some things are still really wonky. Some animations look really robotic (dunks and jumping are the main culprits here) and the passing is inconsistently realistic. My character feels like I'm trapped in mud when I try to rebound. I'm probably wrong, but it feels like the rebounder is predetermined when the ball comes off the rim.

One thing that I strongly recommend (especially for those people with dozens of hours with 2k) is playing around in the training mode. When I played Live 15 that helped me figure out cool size ups. It makes the game WAY more enjoyable. Without knowing how to break down your man and explode out of animations, the CPU defense feels really suffocating, player movement feels slow, and scoring is a chore.

Some gripes I have - the opening scene (Westbrook at the buzzer) was really bad. I understand they are trying to go for the Madden-type opening sequence, but it was so short and didn't draw me in at all. It was more annoying than fun. Also, I assume it would be really frustrating to play if you don't know the controls yet. It would have been cool if you had to play the last couple minutes of the game and they walked you through some basic controls. It felt incomplete and really underwhelming. I kept trying to button through.

The other complaint is how my face translated from the app to the game. I don't know if anyone else had this issue, but I look way different in game after I upload my face. However, Kudos to EA for coming out with a functional face scan tech. I successfully scanned my face on the first try. Last year I never achieved a passable face scan.

At some point, it'd be really cool if we set up a 5 on 5 OS only tournament.

Didnt buy nba live 15 because yeah.....big 2k fan...

and ill say this....

ive played maybe 13 hours of pro am on the demo and have had a blast so far.

I told 4 of my friends from a madden league im in to get the demo and to play pro am with me (and like me were all pro 2k) and we made a squad consisting of a 1,2,3,4, and 5 and just balled out together. I really enjoyed how when playing 5 cpu players, there were a variety of types of teams you played. For example dwight howard with 4 other guards. a balanced squad minus Channing frye as their 5 man. We had to constantly change how we approached them and sometimes had to play a squad 4-5 times before finally figuring out a way that was most effective.

I called in work sick this morning because i was playing it all night....()

I played maybe a total of 2 hours on my park in 2k15 and didnt like it because of cheese players.

I absolutely hate how you can buy VC points to build up your player on 2k, its so annoying and think nba live did it right this year. Im really torn on whether or not ill be buying nba live this year. Ill be buying 2k for the my league and realism. But for balling online with your friends against other live players or cpu is ADDICTING. Live has done it right this year.

As with any game. i can write the negatives about it, but ill end with saying congrats for making a better game this year.
