NBA 2K16 Reveals All 12 Teams Added to the Classic Teams List

2K Sports has just revealed the final two teams added to the NBA 2K16 classic teams list. With the '06-'07 Cleveland Cavaliers & '03-'04 Minnesota Timberwolves announced today, here are the 12 confirmed classic teams added to the game.

'06-'07 Cleveland Cavaliers

'04-'05 Phoenix Suns
'05-'06 Miami Heat
'12-'13 Miami Heat
'03-'04 Detroit Pistons
'07-'08 Houston Rockets
'99-'00 Toronto Raptors

'00-'01 Los Angeles Lakers
'02-'03 Dallas Mavericks
'99-'00 Portland Trail Blazers

If it meant that they would devote time and resources to the classic teams and attempt to get them at least visually on part with the current roster, and at least the level of era specific details, presentation, specific filters that was present in 2k12, then yes I would pay for dlc. I look at another 2k game as an example WWE 2K, and how they handle their legends. Graphically in terms of textures, accuracy and overall likeness the legends are on par with the current roster, and they scan their current players models as well, just as NBA 2K does.

That's Ultimate Warrior who obviously wasn't scanned yet his textures and overall likeness is up there with the other current scanned wrestlers. Isn't there some way the classic teams could get to this level. Also giving us the ability to import faces coupled with the already existing level of uniform and court customization would allow us to make our own classic teams as well or make up for any omitted players (Barkley, Kareem, Miller. Webber). Actually taking a few pages from the WWE 2K series created wrestler play book would be ideal. However if they devoted a high quality visually on par level of historic content, I'm sure we would pay for it via DLC.

Also hoping they get Big Z right. He did not have his bald head look in 2007. He had hair, but was heavily balding

Come on, the 06-07 Cavs? They should've at least put the 06-07 Spurs, a team who actually deserve to be on 2k16 that won the title and had great players on the roster.

Only problem for me is I don't know which 29 other teams to start with, with me being the 04 Pistons

Would probably lean to more modern teams with the 00s teams in now plus some created

I'm gonna stay away from the teams missing key players, (Created Players just don't do it for me unfortunately). So the 87 lakers are out for me, same with the 76ers without Barkley. I see my association being something like this:

65 Celtics
71 Lakers
72 Knicks
77 Sixers
85 Bucks

89 Pistons
91 Lakers
91 Blazers

Such a shame. A GOOD cap will work and sometimes looks better than the CF.

I wish they'd just give us a Legends Free Agent Pool with guys who were either in myteam last year or just guys they have rights to that aren't on any classic teams that aren't currently in the game.

Replace the current Pistons and Heat teams with their '04 and '06 versions(Me) and see what the league would be like.

A bit off topic, but I think it'd be a cool feature to have the rosters from the season before in the game along with the current rosters. Whether that be in the team select or in the roster menu, it doesn't matter. It'd be nice to "rematch" the season before.

2K need to update and remove some teams since the Jordan Challenge and NBA Greatest modes are no longer being used.

They need to try to add as many all-stars and best players as possible.

'95 Knicks with '94 Knicks add Blackman (Dallas original big three will now be in the game)
'98 Jazz with '97 Malone MVP season
'98 Spurs with with '99 Championship team.
'98 Lakers with '01 Championship team

Replace...
'70 Lakers with '74 Celtics Championship team
'89 Bulls with '85 Nuggets, English Lever and Issel
'93 Bulls with '93 Suns (regardless of Brakley you have abstarting lineup of KJ, Marjere, Ceballos and Chambers)

Lol ^^^ I'd be ADDING more Bulls teams if I was given the choice.

Given I'm a fan boy, hell, I'd throw in every Bulls team from 85 - 98.

Can never have enough MJ.

D Miles, Ricky Davis, LBJ rookie.. Hughes came over to Cleveland from Washington a few years later.
