Golden state with Tim Hardaway, Sprewell, and Webber ...
washington bullets with Juwan Howard and Webber and make them good.
Pheonix suns and have Barkley be an unstoppable force.
That 94 warriors and 97 bullets teams would be fun to play.

All of the new Classic Teams are most likely to be all 2000s Era Teams, besides if they were to add the 96-97 Pistons over the 03-04 Pistons, I would

True that 03-04 world champions detroit pistons would be bad *** to add, but im just saying it would be cool to have an in his prime Grant Hill to play as virtually imo.

Will someone be doing an accessories list for the new classic teams?

I could be of assistance in that regard. Give me some time.

For starters, the accessories for the 2000 Raptors and 2001 Lakers are page 32 here: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...y-game-32.html

Yeah I couldn't really justify the Pistons 97 team. I just want Grant Hill in the game.

There used to be a user here (portlandblazer) who made incredible classic rosters and the '97 Pistons were one of the teams he'd created. I remember watching them play, and they actually experienced a modicum of success, but it was kind of crazy to use them in 2K, just in terms of it being kind of a "Who do I rely upon besides Grant Hill?" situation. There were a lot of capable players but not much more - Lindsey Hunter, older Joe Dumars, Otis Thorpe, Terry Mills, Jerome Williams, etc.

Would be interesting to see the old teal and burgundy jerseys and court though.

But that team did win 54 games in that year though. No one wouldve expected them to accomplish that.

That said, with respect, I'd stop well short of calling them deadly, nor would I say they dismantled the Eastern Conference. Obviously, to make a run to the Finals, a lot of things have to be clicking, but they hit me more as a Cinderella type of team at the time as opposed to a well-oiled machine hitting on all cylinders.

It took that impressive Allan Houston clanking buzzer beater to eliminate the Heat in a do-or-die Game 5. Then I remember nothing about the Hawks series aside from that Camby dunk. And the Indy series went back and forth, perhaps hinging on that controversial Larry Johnson four-point play (Knicks won in six). New York made it work, but it took a lot of games that finished in the 70's or low 80's.

Sprewell and Houston could surely hit, but the offense was still a little scattered and without focus due to a lack of reliable options. Plus Ewing had been hurt virtually all season, even before the Achilles tear in Game 2 against Indiana. The Spurs did to that team what was supposed to happen to that team. They made a great run, but they weren't really a top tier ball club.

Agree, and those teams they beat in the East weren't much to brag about to begin with either. The late 90's in general were much weaker than the later 80's to earlier 90's.

Outside of a aging Bulls and Jazz squad, and the up and coming Lakers and Spurs, there really wasn't premier teams. It'll be a long time until we get to the point where the top players in the league are either in their mid 30's or just barely making their start in the league. That's basically where the league was at that point outside of a few exceptions.

"Beyond great" is extremely high praise for a group that never made finals.. They were definitely a solid group, but only one player who was even near that "elite" level in C-Webb. And even he wasn't on the level of guys like Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, AI, etc. a second tier star with a decent supporting cast.

I would love to see them back in the game though. They were one of my favorites, if not favorite, team during that time period. Especially with the flashy J Williams running the show. Though brining back the Bibby squad makes the most sense realistically.

I am pretty sure the East Classic team tomorrow is Detroit Pistons...LD2K said it was one of the most requested teams and he was "bitter" about them but respects them

Thank you, sir. I hope you're right. He said one team revealed tomorrow would be the '01 Lakers. And yeah, him saying he was bitter would seem to suggest the possibility of a Pistons team. Though, have the '08 Celtics been officially revealed yet? Because they'd also fit the criteria of being an East power that made a Lakers fan bitter.

Then again, the Lakers got their revenge on that front and if he didn't hesitate to mention that the '01 Lakers would be one of the reveals tomorrow (because they were already announced) then he theoretically wouldn't have hesitated to mention the Celtics, too. Plus, the Celtics may have already been released, I forgot.

The classic teams mention on the Twitch link comes at: 1:03:38

Ronnie2K mentioned on twitter that 1 will be new team, 1 will be already revealed (which is the 2001 lakers). The new team is from the East, and then LD2K went on to say how he was bitter and how they are requested by many. Pistons seems to fit that description.
