NBA 2K16 Adds '99-'00 Raptors & '07-'08 Rockets to the List of Classic Teams

2K Sports has added the '99-'00 Toronto Raptors (previously revealed) & '07-'08 Houston Rockets to the list of classic teams in NBA 2K16.

There will be 12 new classic teams added this year, 6 of them have now been confirmed.

Here is the list of confirmed classic teams so far:

'07-'08 Houston Rockets
'99-'00 Toronto Raptors
'07-08 Boston Celtics
'00-'01 Los Angeles Lakers
'02-'03 Dallas Mavericks
'99-'00 Portland Trail Blazers

Two more teams will be revealed next Thursday.

Anyone who thought the Lakers were going to win were just buying what the media giants were feeding them.

Heck, they the Wolves would have beat them had they been healthy (they barely got by them with Cassell missing 2 games and being hobbled).

They were completely healthy in the WCF. Who wasn't healthy? The corpse of Karl Malone missed one game in the finals.

Any guesses for the final 6?

My guess:
-Big 3 Heat
- Phoenix Sun (04/05 or 06/07)
- Detroit Piston (03/04)
- Lakers (08/09 or 09/10)
-Spurs (really any championship team of the past decade or so)
-Maybe a Reggie Miller Pacers team (could be wishful thinking) or perhaps a J Kidd Nets team.

I'd rather have the 2002-2003 version of tracy mcgrady over the ones in nba 2k16, but honestly I can't complain. I wasn't expected one historic version of him let alone two.

yes, players from past teams are available in the myteam mode.

2007-08 Rockets? I know they had a nice season, but individually (which is all that matters when you're playing them in a video game) T-Mac was already going downhill by then, so maybe it's not highlight-reel T-Mac anymore. Yao is a nice addition, though.

Good thing they added 1999-2000 Raptors, because that's the T-Mac that it's fun to remember. (Maybe more of the Magic T-Mac), and I'd take 2000 T-Mac over 2008 T-mac.

Vince at his best (highlight-wise)...sounds fun!

That's something that was discussed on another thread. The term "Classic" doesn't mean "Classic" in the classic way (

It'd be a mistake not to include one of the 7 seconds or less Suns teams. But with Nash already in '03 Mavs I'm pretty concerned. But the team I'm wishing for the most is the '06 Heat with DWade, Shaq, 'Toine, GP, & J-Will.
