NBA 2K16 News Post

2K has just revealed the first NBA 2K16 digital short, titled Stephen Curry: Beyond the Shadows. The video showcases some of the first looks at NBA 2K16 gameplay.

The video chronicles the inspiring history of NBA superstar and cover athlete Steph Curry’s rise to dominance. Narrated by Spike Lee, the montage of gameplay and true life footage showcases Curry’s journey from being drafting by the Golden State Warriors to winning the 2014-15 NBA Championship.

This video is the first in a three part series focusing on the life story of NBA 2K16’s cover athletes, complementing this year’s #BeTheStory MyCAREER narrative.

We snipped out all of the NBA 2K16 footage from the video here, if you want to take a look.

NBA 2K16 will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on September 29. If you pre-order at participating North American retail and online vendors, you get it on September 25, along with in-game bonuses.

How do you not understand that a deep three with that kind of arc would bring a swish making the net move upward and above the rim with ease?! I'm sure you've seen a net animation like that in 2K15 before a hand full of times!

Wasn't expecting much, but I did like Curry's sig shot...

I wonder if that was his standstill jumpshot

To be honest with you, when I saw the post and quoted it, it was before you changed it and added the rest of the post, just that you didn't agree. But considering how you've been in here trolling the 2K topics posting pictures of Live and trumpeting everything they're doing in the Live forums, I stand by my thoughts of you of course not liking whatever 2K puts out. Meh.

I was having a civil legitimate debate about the net animation/physics in the video. So I see nothing wrong with what I pin pointed since it did look odd to me. That net animation looked like one from Live itself and that's why it caught my attention. I also initially posted here "this is nothing more than hype video for release." and that's good because this is all 2K needs to show to sell hype!

Wow, they hyped that up all weekend long?! I'm sure the game will be good as always, but it seems like they are a little later than usual providing at least some glimpses of game play.

This was more like a teaser of a teaser.

I'm really optimistic and excited for this game...so I don't want this to be considered "nagging" but.... I really don't see the "body scan" difference, maybe they only got a small amount of players to contribute. Oh well

I agree I guess its hard to spot out from a distance, I wonder the % of players that did get body scans this year.

Legit or not you've pretty much made up your mind on what game you want but yet here you are. So no matter what 2k shows you pretty much will say it's going to need work....blah blah blah....

Exactly. I'm starting to feel the vibe that they acquired the TNT presentation license for 2K16 and beyond.

From that far shot I'd have to agree with you, can't quite see the difference there....
