but I did notice at first that I didn't see that the main menu is always available from within any mode at any time (first game I have ever seen doing that? Madden/Fifa maybe?) where you could start a new session by pausing and choosing another game play mode. I kept looking for an exit or main menu button and it was there all along as the main screen over top of the tutorial and or a match.

It's pretty cool actually. But I spent a couple minutes trying to figure put how to start a career or match from tutorial. cause my time was ticking away.
Thank you everyone for the response. I am still having trouble with it, but I did not see the menu option anywhere when I was playing. I might have a chance this evening to see if I can move forward.

I love it, the presentation just adds so much to the experience. I also enjoy being able to get through rounds quickly although I probably will start playing 18. I've been playing on Tour Pro so none of the helper things. It really makes the player think about what shot they need to hit and where to set up. I started my pro career and have enjoyed everything so far. Also one of the best features is no load times.

Can anyone answer whether the courses added through DLC is automatically added to the career mode?
I consider this a priority in deciding whether or not my purchase.

Sorry for my English.

Unless HANDSWARD (RM Developer) can chime in, I do believe that Career mode is able to be updated through a game update when new courses are released, but how they would do this and how this would impact a current season could be a major issue unless they have slots for other tournaments in the code that aren't visible until the proper course is released for it. If an event is unlocked after you have played past it, I am sure it would show up in the next year's schedule. I am just guessing here though.....

this is also a huge point for me. Also curious what the update loading now with the game is.

I kind of like the quick rounds feature. I used it over the weekend to "play" the first two round sof a tournament. Its a good feature for someone like me who just doesn't have the time to play all 4 rounds of every tournament. Plus, at this point in the career mode when your golfer isn't rated too well, it's a nice challenge to jump into the 3rd or 4th round of a tourney and have some work to do if you want to contend. I didn't think I would enjoy it, but it was kind of nice to have the ability. Thankfully you can easily switch back and forth between the two as well. Not something I'll use all the time, but it's nice to have the option.

I'm really digging your impressions and responses on this so far cujomatty. Let me hit you up with another question. I hear there's a patch for the PS4 version already this morning available to on the net. Have you by chance downloaded this patch already and perhaps tell us what it added or changed? Thanks!

I would love to get an answer on this topic please if anyone has any insight? Maybe they will tell us more post launch? Does anyone know if they are streaming today? I need something to get me through this last day haha. Tomorrows gonna be even worse just waiting to get off work and play.

I preordered to I will be getting Scottsdale at release I would like to know if this will be in the season schedule for my career? If its not this is a pretty huge hole in the game but I already paid off my preorder and was going to get the game regardless. I guess will just have to see unless anyone knows?

Will post my full game impressions for the PS4 tomorrow night once i can get my hands on it for a few hours. Been following this game for a while now its like christmas for me tomorrow lol.

Thanks for all of your early impressions, guys. Good, bad, ugly - it's all useful and welcome to those of us without early access. I guess the game is out tomorrow so we'll see how opinions change once it's in the wild, but nevertheless, it's fun to read people's reactions to the game. Especially people that know golf/golf games since those are the only relevant opinions from my perspective - frankly, official reviews on sports games (as most of us know by now) from the 'major' media outlets are pretty much useless to anyone but casual fans. Like they say with car reviews, sports games reviews basically boil down to: "there are no bad sports games (except for last year's models)".

I'll be anxious to see what you guys think after the first month or so, though, when you've had a chance to really dig in. I guess this will be an evolving game (with any luck), so it will be interesting to see how impressions change over time.

In the meantime, those of us sitting on the sidelines will still have this:

Good times.

Any info on the PS4 patch?

I've heard nothing substantiated yet, this is why I was hitting cujomatty up for some information on it, since he's been playing the PS4 version since Saturday. Someone on the EA Sports Tiger Woods forum said that what was posted today was minor bug fixes only. It would stand to reason that a launch day patch would be released on launch day, which we're still a day away from at this time.

No way for that user to know what was in the patch, especially without a description of which said user has not confirmed yea or nay.....

Well I gobbled up my entire 10 hours of the Trial over the weekend. I actually got my created golfer up to level 55 with all the experience. I must say, I played only in Tour mode, which doesn't allow you to move the camera down course before shots and uses the L analog stick. By the end of the session I was making par pretty consistently. Putting definitely is a little different then previous years. I actually enjoyed the quick rounds, playing 5 holes of the current round, and the rest being simulated. Especially with my golfers attributes so low, I didn't make the cut but just a few times. There was actually one season, where it said I must proceed to next year because I didn't have enough Fed Ex Cup points to continue playing in the remainder of the Tournaments.

As for Scottdale TPC, Its in the career mode, Im guessing all the course DLC will be available in career mode. As for your schedule it just says next event on the screen, so you cant really tell how far along you are in the season.

Yeah I'm sure it was something you wouldn't notice anyways but thanks for the info. I wonder if they will be able to fix the trees shaking in the wind. I just noticed that recently in a few feeds after someone pointed it out. Not a big deal but if you keep watching it becomes annoying after a while.

Counting down the hours till I can get my hands on it tomorrow. Glad to hear that TPC Scottsdale is in the season for career, I was kind of scared for a bit there.

About 28 hours or so until I'm off work tomorrow and teeing it up.

Just saw a chip from the fringe hit the pin and get stuck between the hole and flag stick. Pretty cool that it didn't go in thats one of the little things that makes the game more realistic.

Then the next hole the guy pulled it into the **** and they called it out of bounds? What happened to playing the ball anywhere on the course? It wasn't that far off the fairway.

Thanks for the post. I wonder if the career is going to rely heavily on DLC content and that's the reason we can't currently see the event calender/schedule.

By hiding the event calender it allows EA to hide from us the courses they aren't including in the game @ launch and therefore will be required to purchase to play during the season.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but this is the first EA Golf game during the EA Access window, so if they show the EA Access subscribers during the Access period which tournaments aren't included and have to be paid for, then there are going to be a bunch of pissed off consumers who cancel their preorders. In a perfect world it would be great if EA Sports worked out deals with each course that they will simply pay them a portion of the DLC royalties and not have to fork over, let's say $100k per course each year to clubs like Riviera, Kiawah, etc.

I don't mind paying another $40 for 15 courses if that's what it ends up costing. Especially if the game is released every other year. In that case i will be spending about the same amount anyway.
