Not a math major, but have taken physics and mathematics. Plus you don't really need to have a strong physics nor math background. It's the concept that matters. Just look at the location of Point A and Point B and Point C and Point D. Forget about the arrows. Please don't disregard it just because it looks a tad complicated because this is the type of stuff that isn't truly replicated well in a Madden gang tackle yet. Currently it definitely looks better than past iteration. But it needs more.

Here's a simplified version.

Texasfan2005 that's a good one also but JP got it wrong.its the double tackle at 5:22 in the video. CJ goes for an aggressive catch and gets tackled by the safety then I think the corner comes in before he hits the ground and gets a hit in. It looked smooth I just wanted to see it in slow mo

Panthers vs. Bucs. Kind of a crappy video but it's the first Panther's footage I've seen!

This right here is essential in true gang tackling, i dont think they have this in the game. All the examples that was given to me in response were defenders jumping on a ball carrier from behind and the ball carrier is already in the animation to go down which is reference to me saying latchign on or going for a ride.

From my observation in the videos, i have not seen one instance of a 3rd or fourth defender just laying out a dude and change the momentum of the ball carrier and in the quote above, drive them back.

Look at the draft champs pats vs. seahawks video. Go to around 8:10- 8:25 or around there. The ball carrier catches a pass in the middle runs a bit, bounces off a defender, another defender grabs him and another i think latches on. Then there is the 3rd defender for the big hit and just rubs off. Teh baller carrier should of been smashed backwards, but he just rubs off and there are more examples of it in the other videos. Again, what i am seeing is 3rd or 4th defenders going with the ball carrier and latching on, but doesnt reallychange anything. It is just animation and it looks canned.

In many instances, a ball carrier will try to take on two or three defenders and when they do it, they get stood up, driven back. I dont think they will have this in this game, either the ball carrier will just go down and other defenders will latch on to show "gang tackling", but likely will fall forward or fall down on the spot.

My guess is, they want to showcase the feature, but worred this could be abused when drafted receivers are 6'6 at 90+ speed. RIP

see that wouldn't bother be if their spectacular catch was 80 +. I just worry that users are gonna be able to make these catches with ANY player. I don't wanna see TY Hilton and Brandin Cooks making those catches regularly.

About the only thing I really don't like is how far back the camera zooms away when passing. I like being closer to the action than that.

Disappointed with the delay of the presentation blog, but have a feeling that EA finally has come through with some significant upgrades to the overall gameplay presentation by the amount of editing they have done with these early gameplay videos.
Feels like there is definitely something they are keeping from us, whether its good or bad remains to be seen but hopefully the blog drops soon and its all what we have been waiting for with this series for years...A true live TV football broadcast presentation along with pre/half/post game shows.

Just read the EA blog about Organic Gang Tackling, i guess i see fully organic (non-canned) differently than how EA sees it.

delivers the most dramatic tackles in franchise history with a fully organic, physics-based gang tackling system.

I liked the throw to the flat and receivers go up field and not coast out of bounds

Yes! I will say that the devs definitely legacy issues with Madden. That one feature forces defenses to not just sit in one coverage. McCoy, Charles, Johnson, Bush to the flats now is a threat.
