I agree Armor! If you really think about it, the radio show will be different every time, because every day is a whole new scoreboard! Plus all the other stuff we haven't heard yet!

Yes but how will this affect budgets?

I also find it funny (well a little funny) that we have all been clamoring for immersion inside the franchise hub, they put together a radio show which if you listened to the team stated will not be the same thing all the time. They were pretty clear on the fact it will not only give scores but talk about league leaders, team signings (off-season), injuries, standings etc. But I am already seeing posts of....oh I can see this will be repetitive and I will shut it off etc.

Really? How does anyone know anything yet. We have not played the game and experienced all of it yet. And over time...of course it will sound the same. Just like any presentation element.

Thank god they put this in. We finally will have a pulse on the league while we look at stat's, look for trades, set lineups, look at our minor league system etc. It is a great start and I think it will be a lot better than a few people think.

But I never judge a game until I have it in my hands to play and feel for myself. I can already see all the new animations, the smoothness of the game, the new pitching trajectories.

There is a lot that has been improved and this game is going to visually explode off the screen this year on top of the game physics that to my eye's have been greatly enhanced. The tracks that outfielders are taking to hit ball's look better, the cutoffs look awesome. I can see the new tagging system and how that will be a big improvement.

So much to look forward to!
I think that just comes down to preference. I know plenty here who, when presented with ideas for improved commentary or are given an example of how another game's commentary is better than The Show's respond with "it's still repetitive." Some people don't care about the quality of commentary simply because they are going to get bored with it regardless. They just turn it off. To me, the radio show is the same thing. Some people don't like hearing the same lines or delivery in their ear like that. I get that...you don't really need to experience it directly if you know the concept doesn't suit you.

Personally, I love it. I feel like most real life reporters fall on fairly repetitive language when delivering such news anyway so it's not all that bad since, while the language may repeat, the news itself is dynamic. I typically listen to a ballgame or game recaps while spending any length of time in menus anyway, so now I get it in-game and, as a HUGE bonus, I'll get news related to my franchise!

From what I heard, it sounded better than I expected for an initial implementation and I feel like it can only grow from here. For me at least, this is EXACTLY the kind of feature needed to make franchise a more organic experience and is at or near the top of my personal favorite additions.

For Minor League Contracts. Is there an option to select everyone in the minors and offer them their preferred contract all at once instead of one at a time?

Being a ps3 owner, I sure hope the lighting improvement shown on the '15 version (bottom pic) is actually what we will get in the ps3 console. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

looks like they somewhat altered the depth of the stadium, If so I like it. I always thought that in some stadiums that depth of the camera made the stadiums look like they over a mile long. busch stadium is the one that stands out the most to me for obvious reasons.

I hear what your saying on this, but I do not at all blame the devs for making the budgets the way they did. Since a) they are not allowed to use real contracts in the game and b) I'm guessing MLB would NOT allow them to set in-game budget sizes based on real life market sizes either.

So for the Cubs, if you want a budget to mirror real life (which their payroll could theoretically be in the top 10, if not top 5 based on the size of the Cubs' market), there a couple options.

1. - You can keep having winning seasons so your budget increases every year. This is probably a good choice since that is likely how the real life Cubs budget will increase - incrementally over the next few years as they sign young talent to long term deals and bring in additional free agents as needed.

2. - And/or you can edit contracts to be higher prior to starting your franchise so their budget is calculated higher when starting your franchise.

With as good as the game looks it's odd that the sky is pitch black at night with not one star in sight. How about we get that fixed. Beautiful clouds during the day but nothing happening in the sky at night.

I was thinking the radio show was going to be something like the radio shows in FIFA World Cup 14 or the Tony Bruno show from Madden some years back. From what I heard so far, I wasn't that impressed. Hopefully as the season progresses, it gets better.

Seriously?

You show me a single picture of a major league stadium at night where you can see stars from the field, and I'll by you a Coke. Heck, I'll buy you a 12-pack of Coke and a 12-pack of Pepsi, in case you don't like Coke. The human eye, nor TV cameras can pick up stars beyond the incredibly bright and intense lights of a stadium....

Still think that Fantasy Franchise draft logic could use some work, no way would closers go in first round?? Was hoping they would show the Amateur draft and Rule 5 draft logic

And I'll add a box of cracker jacks (or peanuts) to that.

That's a camera effect.

Turn on an MLB game and I dare you to spot a star in the sky of the background. It's simply too bright inside the stadium

I would be willing to bet he's being sarcastic.
