Madden NFL 15 News Post


Madden NFL 15 title update #2 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users. The PlayStation 4 patch is 281 MB, while the Xbox One patch is 3.1 GB. Looking at the update history on the PlayStation 4 patch, it only shows minor stability and bug fixes.

When EA Sports and the Madden NFL 15 team send out the details, this post will be updated.

UPDATE: Here are the patch details.

XBOX ONE AND PS4 CHANGES:

- Fixed or enhanced multiple team uniforms
- Added tuning adjustments to offline Connected Franchise Mode, matching Online CFM hot fixes
- Added a “Slim” Play Call option
- Added the ability to button through the entire halftime presentation
- Added button prompt to defensive play call to inform the user they can back out to pick their play before the offense does
- Tuned down QB accuracy for lower tiered QB's, especially on passes under 10 yards
- Addressed issue where the formation name would not update during no huddle situations
- Improved line shifting functionality out of defensive camera
- Defensive Play Call timer has been extended to 15 seconds
- Addressed issue where users only had 10 seconds to call a play vs. the AI
- Improved defensive adaptive AI
- Added QB signature passing styles
- Addressed issue where reading keys against the read option wasn't working on All-Madden difficulty
- Added logic for receivers that prevents the wrong animation from triggering during catchable passes
- Added logic to prevent multiple ways of grieving during online games
- Improved logic in CFM when determining who the starting RT should be
- Addressed an issue where the user would fail when punting the ball out of bounds on the Medium Coffin Corner drill
- Addressed an exploit where users could put WR's at the TE position on the depth chart inside of MUT
- General improvements to Madden Messenger
- General improvements to commentary logic
- Multiple CoachGlass improvements
- Fixed an issue where the user’s play would sometimes be auto-selected on defense

SOOOOOOO im guessing that the IR issue is still an issue in CFM. Unless you guys have checked this. Anyone?

Of course, do not misunderstand me. Ten seconds was not enough with making subs. I went through the same problems. Maybe I could sub one position and have time to call a play that was on the first page of plays. That is if I did it perfectly without "overshooting" anything.

The time was not enough.

In the long-term, as Madden becomes a more intelligent game with the intention of teaching real football, I hope Madden guts the archaic "depth chart" interface out of the game and creates a more robust system for filling formations and fronts from a personnel package based perspective.

That's not a reasonable thing to patch into the game, however. For now, having the extra time for me to manipulate the in-game formation subs interface to get the desired players where I want them is a reasonable compromise.

I would say offline becomes unusable without a fix for the Cam Newton intro fix.

Doesn't it delete all offline files, or no?

What's the issue, specifically? I've had zero issues with injured reserve working properly with respect to freeing up salary cap and roster space in my CFM and I've IR-returned DeMarco Murray so that works too.

Ok, so it's specifically playing against the CPU, not online vs. offline. I had a one user only "online" CFM and I wanted to start and offline cfm since my ps plus expired. There should be no difference between the two now, right?

Do i have to play with the "official roster" to get signature throwing styles in the game? i want to use my old custom roster.

Also, does anyone know if Created Players confidence is still Zero when you take them into offline CFM?

Question for Xbox One players: Are you supposed to be prompted for the new update or does it just automatically update? I wasn't prompted for anything so I'm not sure if I got it.

CM,The pre existing injuries that don't carry over when you start a CFM, same issue as last year with that one. I had heard it was a known issue, looking at the forums and what not. It also has the same 2 guys on IR with no length attached to them.

Correct.

Now if EA makes changes in the future online CFM may see them much sooner.

^^^^ Especially love these changes.....Also being able to call a defensive play without waiting for the offense to choose a play first, is big...

I went to all default sliders on the All-Pro setting, and already feel a difference - Improved defensive adaptive AI... very nice....

I have been following all the threads around here and Madden 15 was a great game with 3 or 4 issues.

1-Sims Stats
2-Owner Mode funds
3-CPU QB taking sacks (A LOT, to the point that killed many drives for them)
4-QB %

These were the most critics.

1.-Fixed (we can argue that they are not perfect, but they are fixed it.
2.-Not fixed. Makes owner mode impossible to play with bad or average teams.
3.-Not fixed. QB are still taking the sacks, killing CPU drives and having your whole DL on the Pro bowl.
4-Fix it (kinda).

2 out of 4.

The rest of the fixes, to me are cosmetic or simple bugs that doesn`t affect the overall performance of the game.

I`m disappointed. Specially since EA was aware of all these 4 issues. VERY AWARE.

No, it fixed signature for my custom roster, and in my case, a created quarterback. QB style depends on what you have it set for in player editor.

For those who don't mind changing the QB's traits to throw ball away : yes and sense pressure: paranoid it helps tremendously with the AI. I did it for all teams and FA's. If anyone is interested and don't want to do it themselves I can upload my roster file if you like. Happy Gaming!

I will have to do this. What would you do when you face a QB rookie on year 2? any workaround for that?
