PES 2015 News Post

The PES 2015 demo is now scheduled to arrive in the USA on September 23rd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Quote:
The demo is available now in Asia (excluding Japan) for PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3, while the Xbox One version will be made available on September 18th.

The demo will also be made available in Japan for PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3 and Xbox One on September 18th, and in the US for PlayStation®4, Xbox One, PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360 on September 23rd. Demo dates for Europe will be announced shortly.

The playable demo features a maximum 10-minute daytime Exhibition match within the game’s KONAMI stadium. It also features key European club sides, allowing users to play as Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, FC Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Napoli. Each team has been perfectly recreated using the game’s stunning PES ID system, ensuring that the teams are set up to play like they do in real life, while players are instantly recognisable by the way they move and play.

Users can try creating a non-USA account (Hong Kong seems like the best bet) to download it. (Google)

UPDATE: Xbox One users can also download the demo, by using this trick.

I also made an Asia account (Hong Kong) and am now downloading the demo. It was pretty quick and painless to make one, just have another email account handy.

I was so annoyed Konami announced it was delayed for the US on the same day the demo was scheduled o drop. A little heads up would have been nice. Time to make a Hong Kong account

A demo being delayed, that's a first

I found a couple of sources indicating it's been delayed in UK/Europe, and that there is not a new release date for that region from Konami yet. So I'm not holding my breath for the 23rd drop date here in the US.

For anyone making a Honk Kong account, just remember it's called Winning Eleven still in Asian countries. So searching Pro Evo...etc won't work.

just played it using a hong kong account. wow. just wow. this is not for fifa players. this is for people who love soccer. you have to think ahead in this game. time your touches (you can't run around nilly willy) and make the perfect pass. soooo fun to play with the stars too (not just another player that has amped up skills like in fifa). this is the best soccer, no sports game i have playing in a long time. i just keep saying one more game. i literally don't care what any trolls/haters have to say because its so much fun. its gonna be a long 2 months for the game to come. i am not saying its perfect (what game is) but it is great!

We don't have a demo impression thread so I'll just post here. I played a couple games so far. You can't change the game speed, but I'm pretty sure it's on normal. That being said, the pace is much better than fifa on slow and sprint slider to 0. The gameplay feels really good. The graphics are more realistic. No bulky, muscled up cartoon like player models. Shooting feels good and with power. No floaty shots like pes likes to do. Didn't notice any bad gk ai either. Didn't notice the catch up bug either. Actually a few times I found myself hoping my guys would catch up because I was beat pretty bad on some runs.

I noticed a hint of overpowered through balls by the cpu, not for me though. Also, the cpu passing % was in the 90's. Could just be me getting used to the game though. Can't wait to see what the final game is like with more options

Thanks again. I'm on PS4 as well. Is the game text in English?

Yes.

Another thing in the demo, no commentary. Stadium atmosphere is ok. Sounds like the usual pes crowd chants and drone. Fifa definitely tops it in this category this year

So I have been playing the demo for the past hour or so, rapid firing games. My initial impression is really good. I'm really enjoying the pace of the game and... the midfield! I'm coming from Fifa so it is nice to have a slower pace where it isn't just lightning speed countering and getting the ball to your forwards.

Speaking of gameplay, I am immediately more happy with what PES is giving us than what Fifa 15 is. The animations, and the transitions between animations (it can seem awkward when players change direction), are much much better in Fifa, and I still haven't gotten a handle on/begun to like the pressuring with X in PES, but overall PES is more satisfying. I am really enjoying the build-up in PES, as well as how hard a countering team like Atletico can hit me if I try to dangle them or do something that would be foolish in a real game. If there is one thing I would choose to have improved in PES, it would be the feel and look of dribbling. Fifa has done a great job with it this year, where the animations are very smooth and the on the ball touch feeling realistic.

Regarding presentation, I think we should all admit that Fifa does a great job with this. PES doesn't look nearly as good, whether it be in menus, atmosphere, sound, many of the player faces, or player animations, but it will be acceptable if only the gameplay stays really strong. The stadiums look great, the fans look great, with some good commentary and crowd sounds, the shortcomings in the menus will be easy to look past.

Overall, having a surprisingly good time with the demo. If it weren't for Champs League right now, I wouldn't be able to put the controller down. Great job by Konami to really close that gap with Fifa.

For the love of god, somebody please tell me that I'm just overlooking the option to change controller settings. I love the game, but the default setup is far from ideal for me, I hate to think I'm stuck with it for 2 months waiting on the full release.

On the upside, it plays and looks great, and the CPU actually passes the ball backwards quite frequently. That's right, backwards.

Ya you can change it at the controller select screen.

Thanks man, that makes my day. Last year it was all done under the 'system settings' tab. I hate having the deft touch and the sprint buttons on the same side of the controller, feels so awkward to me.

played a few more games. I'm trying to find the negatives because I'm really liking everything about it right now. So another negative is the gk parries frequently again. It hasn't cost me a cheap goal though......yet. On the flip side, when you make the keeper come off his line, he does so with authority and sense of urgency unlike the slow trot in the other game.
