PES 2015 News Post

The PES 2015 demo is now scheduled to arrive in the USA on September 23rd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Quote:
The demo is available now in Asia (excluding Japan) for PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3, while the Xbox One version will be made available on September 18th.

The demo will also be made available in Japan for PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3 and Xbox One on September 18th, and in the US for PlayStation®4, Xbox One, PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360 on September 23rd. Demo dates for Europe will be announced shortly.

The playable demo features a maximum 10-minute daytime Exhibition match within the game’s KONAMI stadium. It also features key European club sides, allowing users to play as Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, FC Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Napoli. Each team has been perfectly recreated using the game’s stunning PES ID system, ensuring that the teams are set up to play like they do in real life, while players are instantly recognisable by the way they move and play.

Users can try creating a non-USA account (Hong Kong seems like the best bet) to download it. (Google)

UPDATE: Xbox One users can also download the demo, by using this trick.

Thanks for the reply, but your explanation is still a bit vague.

Anyone else know what the Auto Feints are?

They show the list of feints in the game, but as I understand it those are for when Auto Feint is turned off.

I was planning on picking this game up after holding off on FIFA, but i've seen some pretty unacceptable things happen in this demo. The ball clipping through a keeper's fingertips on a goal, a ball that should have been trapped by a player's chest instead registering the header attempt by the player behind him as if other player's body wasn't there at all... just fundamental non-cosmetic deal breakers.

Yeah, there are some inconsistencies in the demo, hell the franchise, when it comes to clipping. I'd like to believe it will be resolved by November but I highly doubt it.

This happens in all sports games. Go watch some videos about this on FIFA 15, happens there too.

I deleted then re-downloaded the US demo for PS4 but it still freezes & hangs when trying to load into a game. It doesn't do it all the time but I expect it to. Frustrating.

Its frozen my PS4 four times now, I'll make sure that the dev team know about it, beyond that it's on them.

I'm enjoying the demo very much after playing a couple matches. Like many of you, my only real complaint is the lack of fouls. The goalkeeper AI still seems a little shaky, but I've only played two games and I have noticed improvement.

My game froze last night. The game was trying to continue from half time. It was pretty nasty and didn't enjoy unplugging the cord from power outlet because power button wouldn't work when I tried to reset.

After a reset, it worked fine but this was my first PS4 freeze.

I noticed the AI will foul me only when my player's move is considered a threat.
-within shooting range
-ready to deliver a cross
-executing body feint

When I play human players, I normally get tackled during those moments as well. Hardly anyone commits silly fouls that will result in yellow for nothing.

So considering this, I'm happy with AI foul frequency. I have to focus on creating more chances.

I just need to get better at finishing but I'm pretty sure i'll be picking this up next month. Just hope there is a decent roster scene for fixing all the national teams and squads without licenses. I know its there on PC but thats a different beast...

Didn't realize how easy it is to upload clips on XB1 thru the Youtube app. Here's one of Pirlo making me pay for a reckless challenge

The day I start seeing the CPU AI make reckless challenges like that is the day I buy this game. Really difficult to get into the demo because of the lack of fouls by the CPU AI.

Having a lot of fun with the demo on PS4 without a single freeze.

This! This! The AI gets a penalty kick after I take the ball out (not sliding tackle), I save the penalty shot, they recover and again I steal (non aggresively) the ball but penalty AGAIN (and yellow card). But the AI, no sliding tackles, no fouls, nothing..... Here's hoping it gets fixed upon release

Is anyone having issues with ground through balls? I've been hitting 40 to 45 yard through balls with alarming regularity right through the middle of the defense. Another worry is difficulty, I know how to pass and shoot yet I win nearly every game. My last game was a 3-0 defeat of Bayern Munich with Napoli in which I outshot them by 11-2. If they get these issues ironed out, I'm in day one.

Ended up deleting the demo. Maybe it changes in the retail code but excessive sliding as a crutch in lieu of animations is something I was crying about two Console generations ago in basketball games so it's disheartening to see it play such a role in PES. Its particularly egregious when players are clearing the ball and in situations where it seems like the ball is loose but really one player is given priority through sliding. I can't stress enough the importance of footplanting and realistic momentum costs in sports games. Also not a fan of the stunned animations offensive players go into when the ball is tapped away from their control.

My designs for picking PES were mainly due to it looking like a much better game for play vs CPU but if these things irked me this much during the demo I'm sure I'd hurl the controller after dropping 60.
