PES 2015 News Post

The PES 2015 demo is now scheduled to arrive in the USA on September 23rd for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Quote:
The demo is available now in Asia (excluding Japan) for PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®3, while the Xbox One version will be made available on September 18th.

The demo will also be made available in Japan for PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3 and Xbox One on September 18th, and in the US for PlayStation®4, Xbox One, PlayStation®3 and Xbox 360 on September 23rd. Demo dates for Europe will be announced shortly.

The playable demo features a maximum 10-minute daytime Exhibition match within the game’s KONAMI stadium. It also features key European club sides, allowing users to play as Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, FC Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Napoli. Each team has been perfectly recreated using the game’s stunning PES ID system, ensuring that the teams are set up to play like they do in real life, while players are instantly recognisable by the way they move and play.

Users can try creating a non-USA account (Hong Kong seems like the best bet) to download it. (Google)

UPDATE: Xbox One users can also download the demo, by using this trick.

Let us know if you are having any luck and assist others.

Not crazy about this demo. Right from the start, the ball physics were sluggish, the player animations just felt...well...sluggish. Graphically, the lighting on close up replays were pretty sweet but the overall game play view was not good and made the turf appear washed out. The game's graphics are tighter and crisper than it's predecessor, but it does not feel look like a next gen game to me, just a whole lot more sharpened version. I think I expected way too much.

I agree! PES player models are top notch close up, but FIFA's player models look pretty sweet from far away, because you can definitely tell the distinct differences in the height and size of the players. PES 2015 does not do a good job of that :-(

I'll try to play a few matches before completely writing this game off, but so far if I rated FIFA15 a 9/10 this would be a 5/10. Very unimpressed to say the least.

Exactly! It's just feels poor and unrealistic in a special way that reminds me of a very old footy game..

No matter how much I try to love the PES 2015 demo - I just can't...

Do you need to be a PSN plus member to download the demo? Can't locate the PES 2015 demo anywhere.

Please tell me that the full version will still have the broadcast camera. They left it out in the demo???????????

Unfortunately, I can't even see "games-new this week." Not ever sure where that is located. All I see under the Playstation store is "Day 1 Digital, Digital Only, Stream Only, Only on PS4, Free-to-PLay , Indies, Demos, Add-Ons, etc." And under Demos, there are only 21 titles available. I see Fifa15, NHL15, Minecraft, etc. but still nothing for PES2015.

For me, the PES gameplay and on-the-field stuff just blow FIFA out of the water. It's just so much more realistic...the first touch quality actually matters, whereas in FIFA, every 3rd division defender can control every pass with perfect precision. Those who complain about the game feeling "sluggish" are probably just used to FIFA's "everybody is as skillful as Maradona" gameplay style.

In spite of FIFA's gameplay flaws, I've continued to give them my money on a regular basis, and I played the hell out of FIFA14...actually preferred it to PES14. However, this years cut-on-a-dime physics, along with the RIDICULOUS bodybuilder player models means that I won't be supporting FIFA this year. Hopefully, PES tweaks the demo in the right ways for the full release, because the basic gameplay is amazing so far. Just feels so much more like the stuff that we watch every week on TV.

I'm sure it's been repeated plenty over the years, but this years perfect soccer game would have FIFA handling the licensing, presentation, modes, etc...and PES handling everything on the field, including player models. I'd play that game until my fingers fell off.

ummmm....I haven't had a FIFA game in .....I don't even remember, but I have played other sports games on next gen, and know what animations with smooth transition feels like. Pes ain't it my friend

I went back to no assists for passing. Such a joy to play. Nothing like getting a handle on the subtle nuances of passing in the box. Hard to do that with assists enabled. I just wish they would put the pre order up already.

Dante caught in two minds on that last goal. You could see him thinking about staying with Llorente or picking up the run of Pogba.

Kind of a cheap goal you gave up. You could see the power bar go up on your player as you were trying to hoof it up field. Did the game make you attempt to go up field or were you trying to put it out of play?

It still suffers from the same problem as last year, the CPU team just never fouls you. Its incredibly annoying having to deal with football games having 2 or 3 fouls if that all game

Has the demo been freezing for you guys on PS4? I've had it a few times now.

Yeah, it's not bothering me much with the demo...only because I'm giving Konami the benefit of the doubt and assuming that they'll fix that for the full game. By the time they patched the hell out of 14, there were a good number of fouls called. I just hope they get that right out of the box this year, and I don't have to wait until April to get some damn fouls called.

Froze up my whole PS4 the first time I tried to play. Had to unplug it from the wall. It's been fine ever since though.

I was trying to just clear it. I thought I got fouled, hopefully in the retail it will be called.

I have played a fair amount of FIFA15 on xb1 in the last 7 days, so I can't help but compare the two.

The demo for PES15 on xb1 is just strange, not sure how to put it into words without sounding like a FIFA zealot (I like FIFA quite a lot, but it's not without it's fare share of issues each iteration).

PES15 looks like a slightly improved last generation (PS3.5 let's call it) version of a game. The graphics don't look very "next gen'ish" at all. Maybe it was just the combo of stadia + time of day, but the first match I played was extremely washed out looking. Everything was just too bright. The player models look a tad thick. Visually not what I'd expect at all out of a next gen title.

The gameplay is very slow/methodical compared to FIFA15 (which could be a good thing)......but the players feel like they are running on "rails", like you can only move 8 directions. The fluidity is nowhere close to FIFA15. Everything feels clunky. I will fully admit I am very unfamiliar with the controls in PES, so that could be a potion of the problem.

I wasn't expecting much in the graphics department, especially considering with PES I always hope they just worry about gameplay over graphics but the graphics are kind of under whelming. Especially since I remember getting PES 12 looking much better on PC than this.

Now the gameplay at it's core seems solid. Tiki taka by Barca was nice to see and the game seems solid. Now for my biggest problem, the game feels robotic. The movements seem so as you said not fluid at all and just clunky. I'll try again today but so far I wasn't too impressed.

Option files are another issue with this game as we don't know where we stand on that. I'll play the demo some more and see how I feel.

On my XB1 the graphics from the default camera look very jaggy. It was the first thing I noticed. Zoomed in it looks fine (jaggy free) which is weird to me. I've always felt that PES' photo-realistic approach to their art style looks better than FIFA's art style but that's just my personal preference. FIFA also has this weird outline around a lot of their players when you zoom in really close. It's almost as if they are cardboard cutouts photo-shopped onto a background.

I also think PES' movement is a little more realistic although the ideal solution would be a blend of FIFA's fluidity with PES' respect to momentum & physics.

I think option files will be fine on the XB1 since the latest Dashboard Preview enables DLNA support but if it doesn't have it on the PS4 A LOT of folks will be pissed.

Yeah, I'm going to try the demo again tonight and see how it goes.

I might still give the game a go once it's at the $40 mark. Even if it doesn't have an option file I might just then do my own edits and do a La Liga master league.
