Is the lack of big hits in this game because of the NFL rules?
No, I just think they are trying to tone down the arcade blitz style hits it had. I would rather have no big hits than power slams and shoulder blocks all the time.

I've seen tons of big hits in 15... so far had a play where the cmp rb tried to do the hurdle moved he got lite up by my lb mingo and ball flew out and I've seen big hits on the qbs as we'll as wr's and te's.
This game plays great. Enjoy playing defense finally. The hits, well there are some weak ones but then there are also so decleaters. Hey really stepped it up and hope they continue on this path they are heading.
Played a good game Jets (me) 26 vs Dolphins (CPU) 17...Geno was Geno... Got hurt and Vick came in and it felt that he had more control of the offense. I'm loving this game. The only thing I would need is a good set of sliders... Rushing is very tough and that needs to be adjusted. Played on All Pro, 10 min, Speed slow and 0 threshold.
I've only played 2 games but I think I'm in love. Sure there still some quirky animations and whatnot but this game is finally fun again. Only little buggy thing I saw was I was in offense with the packers and after a play the camera showed the coach and Aaron Rodgers was on the sideline behind the coach lol
Other then that I have seen some great things and am finally having fun against the cpu
Defense is great, music is really good. I stayed up until 3 last night just playing the skills trainer. I applaud the madden team for the work they have done with the skills trainer. It actually made me a better madden player. I knew the football strategy stuff but the tackling and controlling linebackers, as well as user catching tutorials made me way better. This game so far is really good from a gameplay standpoint.
Pathetic. I took a year off Madden so this is my first time on NG. Must say, I'm not impressed in the least. Plays like a herky-jerky PS3 title. It's NOTHING like the huge leap the FIFA or NBA 2K series took when moving to NG.
More than 25 years later and still no punt or FG blocks. In two full games and a portion of another, I have yet to see a single penalty of any sort called.
I do like the community play calling feature, but other than that I feel like I'm playing a high-res version of Madden 2000.

Oh god here we go....try firing up Madden 2000 then come back and say that.

Who hurt you? 2k14 was an epic fail of a game with some nice graphics and FIFA looked no different then a ps3 version
