The first extended gameplay trailer for NBA 2K15 is here, and…Yakkem!

The trailer opens up with Ernie Johnson and Shaquille O’Neal talking in studio (in the game). From there we get an extended montage of in-game action before coming back out to a funny exchange between Johnson and Shaq on set.

What did you spy in the trailer that piqued your interest? Sound off!

2K still needs something like the infinity engine so hands/legs going through another player will be a thing of the past.

ONLY negatives to me... Warmups are a bit stiff made LeBron look really skinny, his head looked like a bobblehead, jerseys don't quite fit right, McBob's hair and facial hair still aren't quite right either (bout time to give us the control to change current players hair styles).

And that sums it up for me, and I was TRYING to find things wrong with it. So, you've already got my pre-order 2K, great job by the developers, this feels 2K11 special.

Wow, that trailer looks stunning! really love those new game intros and that we finally see nextgen-ish hair in movement (can't wait to see it in real players).

The only thing I didn't feel much are shoes; maybe it's because it's an early build but:

- Don't have the resolution I'd love to see for a next gen game (don't know y but I always see Live models more realistic than 2K's)

- Real models look quite "generic", without much attention to detail or real color combinations. I'd love to see some differenciation between variants of the same model, but they all look the same, just with a different team color.

A minor detail I guess as long as the shoe editor/creator is OK this year (in 2k14 it was broken and base and team colors didn't change for home and away games) we can do it ourselves

I hate trailers. But that was amazing. Definitely did what a trailer is supposed to do.

Very Nice Trailer. My only concern is that Shaq looks kind of odd, needs to look bigger, him and Ernie look the same size. Also I'm really hoping for a next step up in the halftime show, maybe having Ernie and Shaq break down some halftime highlights with commentary of what is being displayed in the highlights. Now if they have finally implemented highlights of other games from around the league in season/franchise mode, or during actual NBA Today games scheduled, I will pee on myself from happiness!!!

Holy Pancakes. That looks awesome. Love the Kenny and Shaq opening there. Looks fantastic. Hopefully there is like a season preview show or something. This may have just sold me on getting a PS4 this year.

I love the trailer but I don't understood why 2K never has a downloadable version of the trailer so that we can view it in all of it's high resolution framerate beauty?

I'll be more hyped to hear some developer diaries or insight, when we get to hear more about the meat and potatoes of the gameplay.
I share the exact same thoughts. The game does not look bad by any means but I don't see anything that really excites me either. Looks very similar to last year, which isn't a bad thing. As you said I'm looking forward to the developer diaries and hearing about what improvements have been made.

D Howard Adidas powersleeves in. You can see him with it at the 1:26 mark in the bottom left hand corner.

It looks like Ronnie is answering some questions over at the playstaion.blog http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/...mg-ii-trailer/

Looks basically the same, but I'm still excited about it I hope showing players introductions really in the game this year, but I doubt it.

Exactly. There's nothing wrong with 2-player dunk animations...as long as they happen at the right time (like when the defender isn't in position to block the dunk, or if the defender is just too small). I would argue 2-player animations are actually necessary - how else are you going to portray body contact? If you didn't have "contact animations", you'd just end up with players slipping and sliding around each other in odd ways.

They state over on the playstaion.blog over 5,000 new animations were added this year, that's amazing. I can't wait to see how much more smooth this game plays with all of these added animations.

MKG's skintone has been fixed and he now doesn't look like a oil slick. So I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess Kemba's has as well.

Edit: Granger is fixed too
Edit 2: Korver/Blake hair updated/Mayo too
