EA Access News Post

The official EA Access twitter account today confirmed that the platform will only support six hours of Madden NFL 15 gameplay. Considering EA Sports Season Ticket offers Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 users access to the game for three full days, this news comes as a disappointment for Xbox One fans.

Without a Madden NFL 15 demo, EA Access and EA Sports Season Ticket is the only way consumers can play the game early. Unfortunately, EA Access is exclusive to the Xbox One, which means PlayStation 4 gamers are left out in the cold on any early access period.

While EA Access certainly has its benefits with The Vault, the sports gamer looked at the deal as a no-brainer, since it offered early access to games. However, with time limits set to just six hours of gameplay, that could deter many of them.

While EA Sports has confirmed demos for both NHL 15 and FIFA 15, we would like to hear from the community concerning the six hour gameplay limit for Madden NFL 15 on EA Access.

Sound off!

I don't see how it is that grave - they already have a bad rep in the eyes of the online gaming commumity that votr them worst company in America.

The investment they put into this very title is worth applauding if not then at least your acknowldgment of their progress is warranted.

I'm just totally baffled.. I think the worst part of this is our naked compliance to adhering w the agenda they have established.

I say naked because we are openly voicing our displeasure regarding this particular new standard that has been set yet their will be members of this complaining body that still buy the game or even early access + the game.

That last statement sibliminally tells me that our weakness for instant gratification and this game in particular is stronger than the power they have over us to initiate these parameters in the first place.

It reminds of MUT Community members who continually purchase bundle packs with real money regardless of hoe many times they were previously shafted which tells me two things: (1) they can be taken advantage of because they have money to blow amd want to blow it (2) they are addicted to the transaction itself of purchasing and ripping packs

We all have somewhere that $5 or $30 can go and EA basically opens up shop and says, "we have built it: they will come".

Sadly, we still come in droves so I cannot even speak on the subject of protest - I have no faith that this avenue of objectives holds any gravitis.

If a change is comming, it may very well be their, EA's own plan or work of madness, to frustrate us with a low ball offer only to appease us with a greater more appealing restructued counter offer.

This information should have been released for any upcoming titles at the time the service released. IMO, it's extremely crooked to launch a service, let most of the early adopters purchase, and then release specific game info. It is my fault that I purchased (only one month I might add and I still feel cheated), before all the info had been released. I should know better. Feel for anyone that bought the yearly sub and thought they'd have more playing time.

I say everyone that is dissatisfied call EA and demand a refund. That's the only way they will listen. I bought an Xbox One just for EA Access which now will be returned to Best Buy. I am ashamed EA would limit it to only 6 hours. As many here, I could care less for the vault. This is the last service I purchase from EA.

Even if this were available for PS4, I had no intention of purchasing it.
But, I can empathize with those who purchased it, thinking they'd have a long weekend to play extensively. After all, it's akin to renting a video game from Blockbuster or Gamefly -- you can play it as often as you like in the allotted time.
If I already spent money on this, I'd be feeling pretty duped. Shafted. Bent over a table.
Why didn't EA reveal this somewhat important disclaimer from the start?
This is known in the vernacular as dirty pool.

This program helps them decrease their physical publishing costs while destroying the resale market and disallowing you from obtaining an asset for your money. It will also probably result in no more demos from EA sports games in order to justify the program to it's customers as providing value.

Old sports games have some of the lowest value in the industry once the new iteration is released so there isn't much value in that. I also can't see them ever diminishing their sales on a AAA title to release it on EA Access while it is in demand.

The only real thing of value in this program for me was a $5 rental for 5 days which is similar to what Blockbuster used to do.

EA sports is the girl that is way too good looking for us but we all think we can get her. No matter how many times she screws us over we fall for the same old tricks again the next year.

No one was forced to buy it. I waited to hear how long we would have it for. And you know what, I'm still going to throw down $5 to get it early, you know why? Because it's ONLY FIVE BUCKS. haha

Its a good deal if you download all your games. If not then its meh, with a small time limit for early access. I could pay $30, get the games and when they hit the vault trade them in and make money.

Whereas if I buy digital, then when they go in the vault, what's in it for me??? Nothing

You forgot to add the cost of that new hard drive you will have to buy.

Consider this some people are paying more than $100 to play it early and an unlimited amount. I don't have as much time to game as many on here do But I think that's fair. The program has other perks so I don't really see the big deal.

Though i am disappointed i dont regret the purchase.... Fifa 14 and BF4 were worth it alone. And still 6 hrs is better then 0 hrs

I don't know if EA is willing to change its stance, but Twitter is on fire.

EA can't be happy with the response.

Are you? You don't see how someone could get $30 of gameplay from 2 games and enjoy what little we are getting in lieu of nothing at all?

I've gotten it probably just from FIFA.

It's things like this, is why people say EA is the Evil Empire
Attachment 80861
So i will play my six hours and then Cancel my Subscription.
What a let down.

Guys it's only $2.50 a month if you pay for the year. I think EA is not very consumer friendly in most of their actions but EA Access is actually a pretty great deal if you have any interest in the Vault games. I mean eat a McDouble instead of a Big Mac once a month and your covered.

Also EA never said you would get unlimited access for the 5 days. They said upfront it was for a limited number of hours.

I'm down for hating on EA for a lot of things (I'm looking at you NBA Live) but I can't hate on them for doing what they said.

Wow, this is pathetic. People carrying on about a service that costs $5 a month or $30 for the year and allows you to play multiple full versions of games and get 10% discounts on new games. I don't get it
