The workaround also only works for those playing offline Connected Franchise. If you wanted to create an online Connected Franchise so you could, say, leverage the web interface while away from your console, you're not going to be able to edit the other 31 coaches in the league.

It's great that there is a workaround, but that doesn't absolve EA from addressing the situation, either with a title update (hopefully) or in Madden NFL 16.

What's the issue with multiple seasons doing this?

The workaround works for multiple seasons also because you can give control back to the CPU teams in the off-season, and then take control again for the next seasons games, etc.

I'm not a programmer but I would think for simming games this would be pretty easy. I understand the gameplay stats could be more difficult to adjust but for simming stats wouldn't you just plug in the outcome values that vary from different ranges depending on attributes/consistency/team philosophy/playbook/etc

Sim stats look better now (props for that Angel28) ..but now how does progression/regression look?

i think most would agree they would rather have a working progression,
regression, and CPU roster management system than good looking sim stats

i really have to wonder how this got past playtesting.

I'm running more tests tonight. Going to put injuries on, and sim 2 seasons I'll pick top 2 of each category and bottom 2( starters) and see how it looks. QB, wr, rb. Will start up shortly

Should go even further and see if regression and progression are working out. Check to see if the cpu is making dumb moves.

We have to work to get the game to even accurately post correct stats. I appreciate those of you looking for solutions, but **** is ridiculous.

Well, I'll be interested in seeing how the stats simulate with injuries on.

So how does trading work--in the regular season or off-season/draft--when you control all 32 teams? Is it pretty much non-existenet, or can you set these settings for all the other 31 teams to "CPU?"

I think Angel found the patch EA will do but you won't get any credit for it. Haha. They did that a few years ago with sliders. I don't remember the exact problem but everyone on these boards had addressed a slider issue with the default at 50. EA set out a patch with the default changed to 25 instead of fixing the underlying issue. Lazy.

Glad I have it for ps3, hope this isnt an issue

I doubt you're immune. This was an issue on the PS3 last year.

There's a very simple reason why this crap happens year in and year out without them ever fixing the most obvious things.... Follow the madden twitter account and you will see why. Millions of un-sim players who don't know football love the game every single year. Why would they put forth more effort to please the few when they are pleasing the many?

This game gets so much love from the ****** gamer and all the athletes who play and dont care if games are 70-65 everytime. Its really pathetic in the year 2014 you are seeing the same exact issues you were experiencing in 2010... I'm sure they probably didn't even fix the issue that your QB can't get hurt unless you have 3 qb's on your roster... this has been a problem for years and has never been fixed.

This was specifically mentioned by Josh Looman as fixed in a video interview with Tradition Sports or VSN, I forget which but one of the two. The interview was released with the CFM info drop.

Beyond that, let's keep the thread on-topic of the simulation stats discussion please. Thanks.

If the workaround is controlling all 32 teams, I don't have the time or patience for that. So I guess it's dealing with lackluster simulation statistics yet again.

Small issue ur missing though..this year stats effect confidence which affect players regression progression greater..if u play with stats as is..after a year or most two..many QB's are released or 2nd 3rd on depth chart due to "poor" current stats..

There might be new issues due to the new confidence stat, but it was still a problem in previous Maddens as well even without the confidence stat.

Ohhhh I agree stats in Madden have been a issue for YEARS..was just pointing out to other member that just "dealing" with current/past stat engine is an issue..but yes I agree stat engine has and is an issue in itself

I'll be watching from the sidelines until this and penalty sliders are fixed. Not that EA cares, but just because there are no other football options, doesn't mean there aren't other options elsewhere to spend time and money.

I'm really curious as to how their QA testing is handled?

I imagine simmed stats will get a patch, but not sure on penalties (technically should match simmed games too).
