NBA 2K15 MyLEAGUE Interview

We recently had a chance to interview Rob Jones, Sr. Producer Visual Concepts and Erick Boenisch, Sr. Producer, Visual Concepts to talk about a new mode for NBA 2K15 called MyLEAGUE, exclusive for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Before we get into the interview, here is a quick rundown on some of the options. In a nutshell, it’s the Association Mode that we all know and loved on old-gen consoles, on steroids.

MyLEAGUE offers both a single season or up to an 80 year franchise experience. You will have complete control over every aspect of how your league plays out.

frank, get some 30 TC and then edit a draft class to ad them into it and either draft or FA sign them

uh.. they technically are different, the spam steal to intentional foul was for trying to reduce steal spammers online i think...but that caps lock man!

OK Elaboration needed on this, it isn't telling us if multiple Profiles from 1 console can be involved in a particular MyLeague. Sounds more like That one particular Profile/User who created the league can have sole control over every team in the league if he/she chooses.

The Old Association Allowed:
Profile 1 - Bulls
Profile 2 - Blazers
Profile 3 - Thunder

All 3 profiles had sole rights to all decisions for the team(s) they had selected, w/o interference from the other users, and that was from 1 console.

Is this still the case????

Man this game is bananas. 2k using performance enhancing drugs, and I'm enjoying that.

2k watched field of dreams and then literally "went the distance"

Just the level of control alone 2k is providing in this mode is amazing.

That preset team strategy addition is fantastic. Just imagine playing as the Bulls, and setting it so that everytime they face the Cavs, Jimmy Butler will be matched up against Lebron. So convenient and sounds really simple to use.

I hope this "new-found mantra" of 2k providing us with a ridiculous amount of control and customisation also applies to other modes such as MyCareer too.

Would love it to get the same amount of respect in this regard, as a lot of people would appreciate the ability to have a similar amount of control and customisation (and those who wouldn't can just ignore it).

Great start to 2k15

I would love to see an expansion draft option to add two new teams in seattle to bring the supersonics back, and then one more team either in mexico or back to vancouver....

I also would love to see the wnba included and female character models for myplayer mode, and legends like cheryl miller, don drysdale's wife who was drafted into the nba, and lisa leslie, or candace parker...or other women so that female basketball players who are kids can make players that look like them and let them dream about being in the nba as a player, coach, or manager..even having coach hammon on the spurs should already prove that the coaches and managers need female character model choices

Great news but I'm done standing outside of gamestop every year for 2k... I'll wait to see some YouTube vids of the game when it's released, I've learned to RENT first, BUY second when it comes to NBA 2k games...

And I've also noticed in the recent trailer that they have fat head posters in the crowd but the fans are still wearing these jerseys with no numbers on them smh like I said before... RENT before you BUY ppl, don't let 2k fool you again, it happens every year

Yes and no. It's annoying when you go for a still maybe twice when the ball is being brought up and then they get past you and you try to swipe the ball from behind and it intentional fouls.

I agree that is is nice stopping the spamming, but it also can be annoying.

I'm going to rent a game first because the fans in the crowd don't have numbers?

That is the most preposterous thing I've ever heard.

If that prevents a person from buying a game then they will never be satisfied.
