NBA 2K15 MyLEAGUE Interview

We recently had a chance to interview Rob Jones, Sr. Producer Visual Concepts and Erick Boenisch, Sr. Producer, Visual Concepts to talk about a new mode for NBA 2K15 called MyLEAGUE, exclusive for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Before we get into the interview, here is a quick rundown on some of the options. In a nutshell, it’s the Association Mode that we all know and loved on old-gen consoles, on steroids.

MyLEAGUE offers both a single season or up to an 80 year franchise experience. You will have complete control over every aspect of how your league plays out.

This DEFINITELY sounds awesome BUT Is there couch-op for this?? Like in the last gen. Where you can start an association with a friend controlling 2 teams??

No VC and you can import classic teams to your league were music to my ears.Can't wait to hear more.

Well, you can control multiple teams, so yes

Awesome stuff! This team gets it! They listened and gave US ALL the control we wanted! Just can't wait to hear more about online leagues and hopefully they gave us more control there as well!!! Waiting impatiently!!! :-)

Yeah, I was going to mention this but didn't want to rain on the parade. Hopefully they've fixed the simulation logic which had been broken for years. CPU generated "star" players would never put up star numbers for example. One of my pet peeves was foul trouble in simulation. Foul trouble was so common and resulted in players getting very limited minutes, becoming unhappy, and ruining team chemistry. It was very unrealistic and like you said I had to go in and adjust all the tendencies every time I started a new franchise.

Another little thing that I know you guys have been asking for...

Any user-controlled teams will NOT have their minutes reset going into MyLEAGUE. So if you've downloaded or created a custom roster that has rotations set-up a certain way, those will remain as-is going into the mode if you select that team as user-controlled at the start of the mode.

A mode where VC plays zero part in but you can still earn it?

Could it be possible... that 2K is actually starting to optimize for user fun and not money grabbing?

Very happy about this. Hated having to redo the minutes everytime I started a new association.

Well, they practically have my $60 bucks. Great job listening to the fan base even if we're overly repetitive and complain too much.
