Good guess, he's 83. Machado is 82.

King Felix is too low...

Thanks man, appreciate it.

I wonder how the devs calculate reaction, looking at the advanced stats and even the fan scouting report on fangraphs I would've guessed 92 instead if 72.

I would say at least an 82 in terms on reaction...

How is Bumgarner not at least a 90 overall?
When I go through and make my own edits to the rosters, I must be pretty generous. There is almost always a 99 for every team.

99s should be for the best players in the league...Not every team has a best player in the league...

Overall formula is different this year, it's much harsher.

BUT Jose Fernandez is too high, better than Wainwright, Verlander and Felix? The kids pitched for one year, hes great but come on now...
If Kershaw wasn't ridiculous last year, Fernandez might have and definitely would have deserved the Cy Young. I think that he gets overlooked because he doesn't get as many wins but he is on the Marlins so that isn't his fault.

Simmons' defensive ratings?

He's speaking about track record. Fernandez as good as he was last year has less of a chance to repeat his performance when compared to someone who has a track record such as Wainwright. I personally would value Fernandez's youth and place him near the top if not the top of the pitching market.

Kinda surprised that Manny Machado wasn't in the top 9 for 3rd Base. I know he's only been in the league for 1 full year, but his defense is off the charts and he's a better hitter than Simmons (both are insane defensively and if Machado makes the move to his natural position of SS those 2 will be duking it out for best Short Stop in the league for years to come).

I'm guessing his ratings are taking a hit due to the injury he is coming off of, and that will be adjusted once he comes back and proves he has healed up from it.

Or is he sitting at an 83 or an 84 and just below Pablo so we can't see him? I mean that seems like a fair rating for a guy with only 1 full year under his belt but seeing how Andrelton Simmons is an 86 despite having only a few more weeks of MLB experience compared to Machado, you would think he would see a similar rating.

IMO as long as Hanley is healthy he's the best SS with Tulo right behind him.

i have to say none of these ratings really make sense or portray how good some players really are

im also surprised Josh Donaldson isn't somewhere near there as well

It could be that The Show values offense more in the overal rating calculation for 3B and that Donaldson and Machado have lower offensive ratings than the other players. No saying they should, but each position in The Show uses different ratings in calculating the overall rating for players.
