The Golf Club Closed Beta Impressions (Q&A Inside)

OK - I have just been informed that there will be an email sent over in the next few hours that will provide access to the Golf Club closed beta today. Myself and any others who were lucky enough to gain access will provide what information we can in this thread. Asking questions is not a problem, but understand we may not be able to answer them all. I will post in here as soon as I have the game installed and have spent spent some time with it.

How exactly are you reading the greens? Hard to see the curves on the green at youtube resolution in a small window with a piss-poor connection LOL.

It's actually not that hard when playing the game Dan - just like in real life, sometimes you read it wrong. You then stare at the screen and say "Damn, I thought it was breaking the other way"

Try putting the video at 720P Dan, see if that helps -

Pretty sure I read they are working on a way to prevent that.

Here is a breakdown of some of the stuff they changed in build 3 -

1) We've tweaked driving and putting - making it a little harder
2) We've taken out the aim marker, you can only now aim from behind the golfer. You can also only move it Left and Right
3) We've fixed a big issue that we found with NVida graphics drivers which meant that a few of their cards were generating courses differently to other cards
4) loads of bugs and optimizations

Honestly. even though you are aiming behind your golfer, I see you can still zoom in and see the general area, I mean it still kind of shows where you are going to hit it.. I would like the option (I guess you could just not zoom in) to turn off the zoom completely. I can tell how you are aiming based on the golfer body so I think it wouldn't be unrealistic at all.

The option to shut the zoom off completely is in the game Bleeding, but I didn't realize that until after I shot the video.

The latest build was released this morning... I'm not sure who HBS may have inked a deal with for publishing this game, but from the looks of some of the "mass market appeal" additions this build, I'd say it's Clap Hanz!?

I can't believe this is the direction this company has chosen. I knew when they talked about getting a PR group and or publisher that this crap was going to happen - I will post a video of this new and"improved" version in about an hour - and like I told them, if they want to give my spot away for the beta - they are more than welcome.

You could feel each new build gravitating towards this new gimmick type crap -
